No, but normally we don't eat stones now do we? I mean, it kind off instantly cures us of cursing, yet we technically ate the curse?

We're not normally cursed either. You could eat it, curse is absorbed, then pass it. Sometimes laxatives are advertised as having 'purging' effects.
