Can anyone tell me if Dark Souls' matchmaking system selects invaders/summons within 10 levels + or - or is it any level?

Re: Matchmaking levels
For summoning:
You can summon players within the range of plus or minus SL [10+(10% of your SL)]. So an SL 100 can summon anyone between SL 80 and 120.
For Darkwraith invading:
You may invade players similarly to the formula above. However, there is no upper limit. Thus, an SL 100 can Darkwraith invade anyone between SL 80 and 711.
For Darkmoon Blade invading:
The formula is similar to the one for summoning. There is an upper limit and lower limit as defined in that section. However, there is a slight difference. With summoning, a level 100 player can summon anyone between level 80 and 120. However, with Darkmoon Blade invasions, your victim's "level" is determined as their SL + their Sin. Therefore, an SL 100 can Darkmoon Blade invade an SL 50 with a Sin of 30.

Re: Matchmaking levels
Thanks for the reply! Does that apply to the DLC arena as well?

Re: Matchmaking levels
The arena works with a set range I believe: <50, 50 to 99, 100 to 200. I'm pretty sure that this is correct, but I'm not 100% sure.

Etc.

Wait...my main build is SL122, does that mean in the arena I can potentially be fighting a SL200?!

Re: Matchmaking levels
Though I seriously doubt there's a lot of SL200s running around.AugustBlade wrote:Rarayn wrote:The brackets are:

Although this is slightly off-topic, do you know which SL's are more common nowadays? SL100's? Lower or higher?

Re: Matchmaking levels
SL100 in the Arena, SL120 elsewhere. That's the impression I got, anyway.
