Would using Grant with 50 str and 30 fth still be viable as compared to using it at 34 str 40 fth?

Yes. those last 10 points of Faith only add about 50 magic damage total. Being able to use it one-handed efficiently is probably more important.

It really depends on the build's purpose. If you want it just for the sake of using Grant, and don't need Faith for any casts - feel free to have 30 FAI. But if you're likely to use some Buffs, Miracles, etc - then you'd better stick to 34 STR. IMHO.

I vote for the 34 STR. Grant it's a slow weapon, be able to use your shield while using Grant won't help much. Grant makes wonders when 2-handed.

Oh its not for pvp or anything, I'm probably just going to use it to kill skeletons in NG+, I use the demon greataxe for pvp.

Great Club should be your choice. Divine +9 (the one I have) dishes out more damage than Grant +5... And it weights less. Ending up that Grant is a good cosplay item, not more. It is still fun to smash faces in full paladin's. And with 2H R2 attack you do make wonders
ed: It ended up that Grant is pretty useless in new content. I dish out twice as much damage with Dragon Tooth.

But that's not the way Leeroy uses it! And I can tell you he is the most badass guy in Dark Souls.

If you pay attention he can't use it 1-handed (I saw him several times do so, he did the standard "not-enough-STR" animation, though the FTH damage still kicks *** so he kills skellies even when doing that. And he fat rolls. He is so badass .

I know, the first time I saw him one hand it against the bk with the ga it was hilarious, build since he has 46 str four more points is nothing.

Ok then. My str build can now cosplay both havel and leeroy lol.
