Riddlers Corner

Recently I have become fascinated with odd riddles and questions and I often puzzle away at them in my head from time to time as well as posing them to people I know.

PM me your answers or summat like that. AND FOR THE LOVE OF GWYN POST YOUR OWN!

Oh and for those of you who know where the first few riddles come from please spoil it for the others.

Beginner Level Riddles

" When is a Door not a Door?"

Hehe these are some of the easier ones I have in my repetoir I should think.

This is one of the more challenging ones I hope....

Well what ever is the best way to posting it so you dont spoil the riddles for others is fine by me.

Not bad Dough you got some of them pretty easily thought to be fair these are all easy ones.

Yeah I've seen a couple before too. Well here's some of my own.

What goes on 4 legs in the morning, 2 in the afternoon and 3 in the evening?

Only one colour but not one size
Stuck at the bottom, yet easily flies
Present in sun, but not in rain
Doing no harm and feeling no pain

Round like an apple and deep like a cup,
yet all the king's horses can't pull it up.

Long legs, bandy thighs
A little head and no eyes.

On my way to St Ives I met a man with 7 wives,
Each wife has 7 sacks,
Each sack had 7 cats,
Each cat had 7 frogs,
Each frog had 7 fleas.
Fleas, Frogs, Cats, Sacks and wives, how many were going to St Ives?

Some of these might sound familiar. Well you might have the same book as me

Dead on the field lie ten soldiers in white, felled by three eyes, black as night. What happened?

Hands she has but does not hold, teeth she has but does not bite, feet she has but they are cold, eyes she has but without sight. Who is she?

What has six faces, But does not wear makeup. It also has twenty-one eyes, But cannot see?

The strangest creature you'll ever find: Two eyes in front and many many more behind.

I have freedom from hate, but not from lies. I'm usually seen through clouded eyes. I come unexpected, though you wait for me all your life. I can't be brought yet some people try. What am i?

I'm actually bad with riddles lol. I tend to overthink them. Btw what do you think of this format?

I have one I made up.... its not good but please tell me if you liked it. And Dough you had the first one right but not the last. Though Death could be a possible answer.

Only growing in the light,

never sleeping in the night.

Up and also down,

resplendent with a verdant crown.

A thousand toes bite deep,

and below our feet do creep.

Silent in life and death,

and never do we see its breath.

At its height one can see all around,

at its base you are far underground.

What is it?

Some more of my own from the same book

What force and strength cannot get through,
I with a gentle touch can do,

Old mother twitcher had one eye
and a long tail that she let fly.

She left a bit of her tail in the trap.

A hill-full, a hole-full
you cannot catch a bowl-full

Black within and red withouyt
With 4 corners round about

Little nancy ettucoat
in a white petticoat
and a red rose
The longer she stands,
the shorter she grows

And thats all my book has so Im out.

I got one or two but can't post the answers so you'll have to take my word for it. Here's one of mine.
