General help to a first timer

Hello this is my first time playing Dark souls and i´m currently stuck on Ornstein and Smough. So if you got any tips on gear, tactics or build. plese help me. Thx

Ring of Steel Protection ain't that great. Switch to Havel's Ring or the Ring of Favour and Protection, if you have one of them. Will allow you to roll and move faster, which should come in handy in that bossfight.

You can always Summon Solaire (if you havent kiled him) to help you with the Boss his summon sign is in the Big Room before the Boss fog on one of the Stairs. You have to be Human to summon him.

You have to try and seperate Ornstein and Smough sisnce they tend to gang up on you .
Also i would advice you to kill Ornstein first since when one of them Dies the other one becomes "Super" meaning they get some Attacks and do more Damage and Super Smough is easier than Super Ornstein .

But Super Ornstein drops you a Ring when you defeat him and Smough doesnt .

Oh yeah and learn how to Dodge (DOOOOOOOOOOOOODDDGEE !) their Attacks . Dont attack them just dodge and learn their Attacks . And you should fast roll

I would suggest equiping something lightningish to kill Smough, and after that change to some other element like normal or crystal. With lightning wepon smough should fall pretty fast and then just kill ornstein

^ Kinda frustrating advice, bro. I'd just stick to what Marino suggested. You can deal 30 damage per hit, and still manage this fight, if you roll like a god

I find super Ornstein to be easier easier than super Smough. All of Ornsteins attacks are easily blocked or dodged and his lightning smash has a much smaller radius. Smough, on the other hand, has a few unblockables and his lightning smash has a MUCH larger radius. He's also much less predictable.

I'd suggest farming Silver Knights for a Silver Knight shield. At the Giant Blacksmith nearby you can buy Twinkling to upgrade it. The shield has good stability and allows for you to block hits from Orn well. It also has nice enough lightning block, better than the black knight shield.

I´m starting to learn their attack patterns. But it´s kinda hard to seperate them !

Use the Pillars . Sometimes they get stuck for a good amount of time so you can Wail on the other .

Also you can hide behind the Pillars to dodge Ornsteins Lightning spears
