Not really unless you have been focusing entirely on building your character to deal immense amounts of damage. No matter how small their hits are you still need to deal enough damage to take them down.

4 Kings are my bane, I recently found out about using that spell as well to take the edge off the fight.
And no, it doesn't make it terribly easy, because you are only able to use it for the beginning of the fight, unless you have summons, and I think maybe some of us aren't quite as incredible as Revolver Snake.

Well, it doesn't explicitly say on the wiki that GMB will protect from the king's melee attacks. Someone should edit the page so that it does (I can't).

What about using GMB for the beginning, and when you run out of casts, use VoS? Does that stop the magic ranged attacks?

I just aced the 4 kings with my Pharis cosplay..... It was not hard whatsoever with the right dodge times. The swords hurt but I only got hit once or twice...
I feel like the only one who doesn't have problems with the 4 kings..... On the other hand I have played this game to death and know their move sets like the back of my hand.
