Knights Honor Trophy...

I just got that without having or ever had the cursed version of the Greatsword of Artorias...

Could it be that only one of them is needed or that only the "true" version is needed?
I wonder if this could have changed with a patch recently or?

I've just replayed whole game (and dlc) to platinum on a secondary PSN account.
First time around I got the trophy I used Sif's soul for the 3rd time but I'm pretty sure I made the shield last then (and that was before first major patch of the game after release when the strongest weapon in the game was a shield and skirts had OP armor stats :p )

Anyway if anyone else is going for this trophy you might wanna try and check this. Save the cursed version to last and see if trophy pop before that for you too...

Maybe they realized it's ridiculous to have the play the game through 3 times with the same character to unlock a trophy. I always saw it as From encouraging us to interact more as a community though. Knowing how time consuming it'd be to get that one thing I'd think most of us resorted to just asking someone else for it. More to the point of the thread though, I was actually just talking to someone else the other day who also unlocked the KH without holding weapons that they thought they needed. I can't remember what it was now though. Maybe From really has changed some things around in that regard.

I've never gotten the Greatshield of Artorias either yet I have the trophy. It seems that some of the items that are listed on the wiki aren't needed to get the trophy/achievement but of course I lack the patience to figure out which ones should be removed from the list.

Maybe you just need 1 of the Arty items?

That could be it, maybe that means you might only need one of the weapons from the boss souls.

I hope it's true. By the way how do you know in retrospect which one you've got? I've got the Great Sword of Artorias and the shield but I can't remember which sword I used to make it and there is no indication as to whether the Great Sword is the True Great Sword or the Cursed Great Sword.

I think the cursed blade is black and the true is white aren't they? If I'm wrong you could go try to kill a ghost with it. That'll tell you definitively. If the ghost takes damage you have the cursed one.

Sure. Yeah that would certainly be frustrating. The soul of Sif is just too precious an item to waste.

The Cursed Greatsword have 24/18/18/18 as needed stats the True one have 24/18/20/20.

Hmm that is intriguing as the Great Lord's Greatsword was the one I did to make the trophy pop just recently and now that I think of it I did that too at the same time as I did the Shield of Astorias to make trophy pop about a year ago so at least one of them was needed then too.

I wonder maybe if some weapons are interchangeable in that you need this OR that one. It would certainly explain the confusion around the trophy :p
but that however would leave the question as to what the Great Lord's Greatsword would be interchangeable with as I already had every weapon in the game except the Stone Greataxe and the Avelyn crossbow :p

Doh! I've just discovered that the Greatsword I've got is the Cursed one. All I had to do was press the square button and read the description and it told me that it was used to kill ghosts. I feel like all kinds of an idiot. :oops:

Wait...I have every ''Rare'' weapon in the game (Not that Ghost blade...don't even wanna try) and i got it. I had all of Arty's stuff so i don't know if you only need one of them. I still got everything to be sure. GOOD thing that the DLC items dosen't count.
