The Truth can be a lie sometimes.

Games are known to get the good ratings so that they can be purchased.

I agree, especially with games like skyrim getting close to perfect scores when it's glitched and bugged through the roof, or most shooters which bring out the same crap each year to get lapped up..

Don't even get me started on FIFA. It's obvious they could make it so much better but they simply choose not to just so they have something they can market as 'different' each year.. AND I STILL *** LAP IT UP..

I need a lie down, i hate game journalists, despite the fact i generally follow their opinions lol!

Well yeah its gaming journalism. If the gaming industry doesn't do well then the journalists will not do well.

Would it be nice if they were truthful. Of course, but everyone has their own motives, we as Dark Souls players should be aware of this. Personally I wouldn't mind them getting tough because that would force developers to really scramble and push their creative minds to the limit. Though they're not always right or wrong.

It just makes me happy when i see random games noones ever heard of come out the blue and get good scores, cus you know they didn't have the budget to push for rave reviews, they just earned it.

The one good thing is that Eidos got bought out in the end by Square Enix. So aren't pulling the marketing stunts that they used to.
