Iron Round Shield broken?

Let me clarify my topic. My question is, does the iron round shield's heavy deflection properties pertain to pvp?

I was looking into replacing my SKS with this shield and I was displeased to find that a spear turtle was able to one hand poke away at my shield with no deflection noticed at all.

I was going to run tests on this shield after reading that it acts as a greatshield but retains the ability to parry. However, this encounter with the spear turtle makes me feel it does not work with players.

Any knowledge?

I haven't seen any deflection from any shield in PvP.

All the shields are broken in that way last I checked, even the great shields don't deflect like they would for an NPC or iron flesh.

There was some talk a while ago that this would be fixed after the patch, something about a Some guy video before the DLC where the spear bounced or something. The reply to that was that the guy just didn't have the stats.

As for what I've seen, no PVP has had any kind f deflection for me.

Yes deflection is broken, and that leads to the current state of PvP, although I'm not sure if the deflection version would work better or worse.

I was very dissapointed by this.
I even killed Shive for the shield.
It looks nice, but in PvP there are better choices, especially since deflection doesn't work. But in PvE that deflection works, so it can be usefull in tight places etc.
