Anyone have good suggestion on how to parry well? So far I've been trying the random parry where I just parry when I think they will attack. Any other suggestions?

Parry right before the blow connects. So no the wind up, but the strike down. For PvP do it half a second early, usually when you see them start to attack.

Or if they like to combo, block 1st attack, parry the second.

I find using the Parrying Dagger or the Target shield helps a lot online, but that might just be me.

ya parry dagger works really well because err im not sure what the word for this is but i guess parry time? Anyways ya parry dagger is good in lag too. Ive seen people use shotel to parry but im not sure how effective that actually is.

Curved swords have a shorter gap between parries, while target sheild, buckler and parrying dagger have long parry windows. One thing I learnt recently was that the heater shield also has a shorter gap because it weighs under 2 lbs, and its the only one that can do that and blocks 100% physical. Learnt that from a japanese video.
