Path of the Dragon! Empty Path of the Dragon!

Post by Sciarry Fri Dec 14, 2012 9:47 am

If I join the PotD, increase the power of Torso and Head, and then I leave the Covenant, I would keep all the improvements to Torso and Head ?

I don't think so. I think it's like the Lightning Spear miracle tree, you need to stay in the covenant to keep the benefits.

I thought only the head's fire breath attack gets a boost. Torso gets something as well?

    From the Wiki:
    "Betrayal Penalties
If you join another covenant, you will lose the ability to use your dragon eye and offer dragon scales, but you will still be able to use BOTH the Dragon Head Stone and the Dragon Torso Stone.."

Yes, you'll be able to use them, but they wont be as strong as when you'd be in the covenant.

Hmmm that may explain some of the times when the roar hit me from further away then it should have. I always discarded it as an lag issue.

Can you give me more deetailed infomration about it, please?

    From the Wiki:
"-Upon using the Dragon Torso Stone (without any armor equipment inclusive of shield), the player takes the form of a dragonoid. Other than having the same fire attack as the previous point, the player will have:
-Increased unarmed attack damage. ( Not shown in stats )
-A Force miracle-like attack which sends out a shock wave, sending enemies flying upon use. Attack is also boosted for approximately 5-6 seconds, and can deflect sorceries.
-The Dragon Torso provides no increases to defense. Your defense before and after dragonoid transformation will remain the same. Your defense does, however, increase the more humanity you accrue."

    Thank you.

Only the the damage boost you get from the roar and the damage of your firebreath is decreased.

I've never noticed any difference in the range of the roar though.

Well, I'd like to know about that as well. How much does it boost on different Covenant levels?

    Don't know about the firebreath.
The damage boost from the roar is 25% at rank 0, 27.5% at rank 1, 30% at rank 2 and 35% at rank 3. IIRC this was tested a long time ago though, so maybe it should be tested again soon.

    Thank you.

I've read it's only 25% on all Covenant levels, even if you leave. 10% damage boost could be handy, but it's, thankfully, less than I expected it to be.

I have two different Dragon cov characters. One is rank three, and the other is whatever rank you get the torso. The range of the roar is noticeable on one of these. The rank three Dragon is almost overpowered. I believe I get a 35% damage boost. I've often wondered if I lose the extra range and the extra boost, but I'm not about to leave the covenant to find out. It cost me 80 scales to get there. That's one bit of farming I never want to do again. 20% drop is brutal.
