I have never touched faith.
Ever.
It just seems completely worthless. It only has like 2 good spells.

I haven't done too much Faith either. I have a SL 80 build that has 30 Faith and WoG and SLB, but that's it.

Rynn, you, of all people? SL 55 with 50 faith, +5 Occult Composite Bow + 999 Moonlight Arrows means never having to say you're sorry.

It's one of my favorite characters... as long as I don't get hit by anything.

what calli said, yeah theres a lot of healing spells(replenishment is awesome) but force is very useful to break poise or counter bs, emit force is pretty good for people hiding behind objects because of the aoe, glgs is great for ambushing opponents, it has gmb and bow of silence to counter spammers, the spears kinda suck but if you use twop you can kill people really fast(i know its cheap but that's not the point) and the rest are awesome for coop or for yourself.

Don't get me wrong, I like the build but I've never been tempted to add more Attunement to the build in order to get more spells.

Nothing...and I mean nothing... is as awesome as casting great heal right in front of a ganker who is unable to punish your bravado

My very first character was a faith build, but it turned out rather sh*tty cuz of course i didn't know what i was doing. I mainly did it for the lightning spears, and damn those were worth it. Or well, the feeling was. They didn't have a lot of practical uses.
After that i never made a faith build again, for the exact reason that Rynn just posted

I'm not a huge fan either. I only really have one faith based toon, but there's more to it than just the buffs and WoG. Vow of Silence and Great Magic Barrier are both wonderful spells. Especially after the release of the DLC.

There's nothing quite like being run up on by a pure INT toon who starts to spam spells at you and inquisitively examines its catalyst instead.

How do you know if it's worthless if you've never touched it?

I prefer faith over magic myself; feels more versatile (except the spells you only need a 15int for).

I've had fun with faith on a lower level Solaire co-op cosplay, flinging around Sunlight Spears like the radiant sob he is. Moving into the higher levels, I never went beyond hybridizing with Dex for the buffs and wog, but I'm sure there is some creative fun to be had in going pure.

Faith...useless? It has WoG that will stun anyone and deal heavy damage. It has the 2 strongest buffs in the game. It has so many heals that you don't have to waste humanity or estus to heal and you can save them for heated events or to get a powerful recovery in PVP (Yeah, I don't find miracle healing "cheating" in duels). It has TWoP. It has Great Magic Barrier and Vow of Silence to counter mages.

It has a ton more utility than sorceries, just not as straightforward.

In the last year and a half I must have had close to 40 different builds, mostly PvP builds, but at least a dozen of them were faith based coop builds. Sooooo fun.

Nothing quite like a glass cannon faith build ripping the gaping dragon to bits with sunlight spears. I lost count of the "how are you so powerful?!" messages.

And my Princess Guard Anor coop builds were also super fun. Healing your host and fellow phantom in the middle of fighting Super O, when he is obviously out of flasks, or after dispatching some invader. Good stuff.

if you're doing a co-op playthrough... get the princess guard miracles as they heall all your allies or give them all the regen health buff.

Wow. 10 Endurance and no melee weapon? That's as pure as pure gets. What spells do you intend on going with?

ALL OF THEM! I plan on getting all the offensive miracles, with one rotating one, which will have Magic Barrier, TWOP, or whatever floats my boat at the time.

I have trouble making myself use TWoP. I've done a few build experiments where it really would have been beneficial to do, and it just doesn't feel right. I don't even think it's really all that effective either. So it's the double wammy in my book. Try out Vow of Silence. I bet you end up enjoying it as much as I do. It's very situational, but when that particular situation presents itself it's pretty fantastic.

MB and GMB are both awesome spells though. I actually did some testing with pwn last night, and he withstood a point blank Persuers from 50 INT, TCC, Dusk Crown, and Bellowing DCR. I can't remember the exact numbers it absorbed, but he wrote all that stuff down. It was his testing really, but what I saw certainly impressed me.

I absolutely can NOT use vow of silence on this build. It's a pure caster, no weapons, only an occult bow and spells. I need to be able to cast.

Oh right. I didn't consider that you won't have a melee weapon.

We had an invader about 20 minutes ago. He tried to roll backstab me when I cast a lightning spear, but I fight lockoff so he instead took it directly to the face for 800 damage...
I'm only at 30 faith, using a thoraland talisman and the crown of dusk... My power has a lot of room to grow. I might keep using these spells if I get good with no-lock PvP

Lightning spear is normally horrible in PvP. Good shot if you got it off unlocked.

I was killed by a surprise Sunlight Spear the other night. It did massive damage. Way more than I would have expected. I was trying to tank this guy and he started spamming WoG, so I backed off and tried to switch out my whip for my Heavy CB and he'd blasted me with one before I could get out of the way. Under normal circumstances I'd think they're easier to avoid than SS's, but when they connect, they really connect.

That is ONE WAY of saying it... I can do 1400 damage with the Great Lightning Spear... the covenant miracle must be a pure machine of murder.

I'd assume so. I've never had enough faith to use it. Actually I think it's the only thing in the game, cheats aside, that I've never personally used. The guy that hit me with it did at least 1200 damage with it, because that's around what I had for health at the time, and it wiped me out. If you're doing 14k with it's lesser, I'd guess it can be pretty OP. If you end up using it I'd be curious about your damage results.
