velka, goddess of sin

I always felt like the church you enter to fight the gargoles, was velka's church.

I aslo think the mask of the mother is based off her too, I looked at the statues in the church and i noticed that the statues had a crown that looks similiar to the mom mask.

Ialso find it a coincidence that oswald is stationed on the top of the church, and there was going to be a velka covenant.

Velka's covenant was combined with the Dark son Gwyndolin, maybe completely transformed I'm not certain, but I would have perfered a Velka Covenant to the Darkmoon blades.

I'm not sure where i read it, but it says somewhere that Velka is a rogue goddess. So i wouldn't expect her to have a church right there in undeadburg.
It is suspicious that Oswald in on top of the church though...

Velka is a dark haired goddess, and according to mythology it wouldn't make sense that she is holding a child. More likely, it is the first born and his mother.
