BTW, I never run completely out of spells, I only need to land 2 casts to kill most builds, 3 for the rest. GC for 600, gcfb for 800 (1k if you fail a dodge) plus at least 300 lave, tempest for 2000-3300.

I don't know but even If Pyros can give out up to 3K Damage. I think they're balanced. Their big hitters are Slow (Even with Dex) and They're attacks leaves them OPEN FOR ANYTHING. Mages will already be on their Jolly Rolling way before you react.

I agree with this post, after casting a fireball, you can't move for 1.5 sec or something. After casting a soul arrow, you can just roll almost instantly

pyromancies are pretty difficult to spam and the caster has to be pick his timing pretty carefully. sorceries for the most part are pretty easy to spam and with the knock out power that some of them posses, only one needs to hit you. similar could be said about wrath of the gods.

i fought this one sorcerer that must have been pretty high level, i invaded him in the forest and i was SL124 at the time, and all he did was flip around and spam cast soul arrow. i thought he was tooling around at first. then i realized that he must have had several copies of the spell, i'm going to hazard a guess and say that he had 120 or more of the damn things. soul arrow is fast, has better tracking than you'd expect and they just would not stop spamming it. eventually i would ran out of stamina trying to chase them down or from the constant dodging and they kept wearing me down until i fell over died. it was unbelievable.

i haven't complained about dex builds spamming their katana's R1 since.

Also, is this thread for real? Replace the word "mage" with anything of this world (our world) and we're talking about pure and unbridled prejudice.

Did it ever occur to you that any of these mages you run across have tons of other builds just like you, and get killed by mages about as often as you do?

because every time i see a katana user, i expect them to furiously mash the R1 and not do much else. not all dex builds do this of course, just like not every sorcerer build spam casts. but it happens often enough that it becomes predictable.

i got nothing against spammers, sometimes it's just what you have to do, but some times you can guess who will and who won't spam attacks just by looking at their equipment.

hell, i'm playing a str build that uses the great axe and i mash the hell out of the R1 with that thing. it's sort of shocking how fast it can bludgeon players to death. i'm actually surprised more players don't use that weapon.

the thing about both those weapons though... parries will kill them.

Katanas are best used for hit and runs, and big weapons to punish your opponent when they leave themselves open, if you manage to stun them then fell free to mash away.

I do but only for 1 slot most of the time. Because for me, it's either CMW or Hidden Weapon.

I know that higher INT affects the dmamge for CMW but i have the Leo Ring for that.

A pseudo mage has 1-3 attunement slots.
if it's 1-2, just buffs. If it's 3, 2 slots for buffs, and 1 slot with either dark bead or crystal soul spear.

Essentially they plan to buff, and just use that buff for support. They don't cast spells, except for the 3 attunement variety, that tends to have a "*** you" spell for ganking situations.

I have more of a problem with people who pull out wrath of the gods. Magic is really easy to avoid but with that all they need is to get in close and spam it.

agreed, but i haven't run into allot of players that actually do those things. when i do, i'm usually losing lol. not many seem to be very good at parrying either. i can parry but it is more blind luck than skill in my case.
