Wanna go Vagrant hunting?

UPDATE II: The items have been dropped in the following locations at the following SL (if that matters) under the following conditions:

Upper Parish: SLs 25, 99, and 20
Hollow, Character Kept
Before the bonfire

Lower Parish: SL 65
Human, Character Deleted
Firelink/Depths entrance

Parish: SL 99
Human, Kept
Lautrec's Cell

Note that just because I dropped them there does not neccesarily make that hte place where the Vagrant spawns.

UPDATE!: will be starting tonight, at 10:00 U.S. Central Time. Will delete half the characters after dropping their stuff, so we can see if deleting affects Vagrant Spawns. Again, this will be at the Parish, and both levels of the Burg.



Hey all, just got all the achievements, for a total of 1000/1000, with a giant thanks to Lord of Ash helping me out with my missing items. However, I don't need them anymore, and since I'm the level I want to be at, I don't need to go feed them to Frampt. In addition, I no longer need my 5 extra characters, only keeping two, so they are due to be deleted. So......



Let's go Vagrant Hunting!

On the fourth day of the first month, as the sun rises in the east, I shall take all of my warriors and try to create as many vagrants as possible with all of their weapons, and even the acheivement weapons I won't be using on my Main. I will be running around Undead Bug/Parish in Human Form, dropping as many items as I am allowed before I delete my characters. I don't know how many are going to be made, but lets find out.

I will be dropping:

Boss Weapons
Max elemental weapons
+5 special weapons
Alot of the armors

I will try to max out as much of it as I can; if that doesn't cause some Vagrants, who knows what will.

So, to summery:

Fourth of January
Whenever I wake up
Undead Burg(Upper and lower)/Parish
Vagrants!

Let's do this.

If anyone else wants to drop stuff as well, do it.

I know people who spent hundreds of hours playing Dark Souls and never saw a single Vagrant. You're a good member of this community. +1

Do vagrants still spawn if you delete the character? I fear the items might be deleted together with your character before they get a chance of turning into a vagrant.
But what do i know.

Dunno, but if that's the case, I won't delete them till the fifth.

Honestly, give it a couple days. If you don't need the slots anyway...no harm.

Even more so how about you specify WHICH characters drop WHERE. Then, delete the ones that are in one area, and leave the characters in the other area active. If we get more vagrant activity in one area over the other...it may be a result that requires further testing if the character needs to be "active" or not. Just a thought, although it may be a bit to much work.

I will be joining in on this. I have 2 characters i fudged up on and aren't worth keeping really. I'll do souls/humanity though as well. I'll pop a few humanity. Maybe 10-20. And gather some souls if i can, they are NG+ish, so that'll be easy. And hopefully i can get some expensive stains on the floor.

I'd like to see one. I never have. Preordered the game. Been playing since the start and logged...well one character alone has over 200 hours. And never a vagrant in my world or any hosts i've been in. Such a shame, i won't feel like my dark souls experience is complete till i find one. So heres hoping.
