Review my "Ultimate build"

I call this ultimate because it's made to win, not for the looks or fun. It's kick people's butts. I have 16 STR so I can use also the Silver Knight Spear to poke people in case is necessary. Tower Kite Shield +15 because I'm in love with it. Gold Tracer on the right hand because 2 handed it's OP. Crystal Iato +5 because it's a beast and it's very flexible. Composite Bow for taking bits of health in key moments.

The best physical/poise armor I can use with my current weight, 54 poise so I'm above the breakpoint. 1730 health. Maximum stamina. Because of the 16 STR and 40 DEX I can change to a big variety of weapons. 330 physical defense is enough for PvP. Nothing more to say.

I'm looking for any way to improve it even more. The only drawback I see to it is that I don't have any kind of magic, still I can use the basic buffs from resins to further enhance my damage.

It's fairly standard, I think. One thing you should be aware of is that a lot of people use and fear the Gold Tracer and many will pull one out and have a bleed war if you do. Also, your crystal weapons will break if you go into the Arena. You're better off with a non-crystal set of weapons unless you literally have hundreds of Crystal Iaitos +5

Why is it that every time I hear somebody put forth an 'ultimate' build, it has a Gold Tracer in it?

what a build thats made to win and no 12 faith for heal? i like it. looks like any other dex build tbh which isnt bad since dex builds all look pretty much the same. mine has 14 dex and i have 8 points left to get to sl 99 and i have no idea where to dump them.

Why the Kite Shield? IMO, the 3 extra endurance is wasted. You can fine other armor and put the 3 elsewhere. Maybe like some Black Flame or PW.

Crystals are nice, but they will break faster and unless you have an unlimited supply of slabs, it probably isn't worth it.

@Sat - prolly because the tracer is a press R1 to win?

Seem like pretty standard melee builds. I'd be surprised if they could beat my pure caster.

On a more serious note, that is true.

I change it to this. You need Chaos Blade chiz, it's the best kat for non buff builds. If you insist on the Iaito the use it normal, you can't replace one as easy when it breaks. Black Flame/GC is always useful, and the Gold Tracer you can just menu swap it like the SKS.

Looks nice, but an important thing about the build was the ability to change instantly to the OP Gold Tracer. I would leave the bow equipped in the left hand, but if I need the pyromancy I will change it for the bow while in-combat.

Finally, why the Chaos Blade? In long battles it gets you weaker, and it can't be buffed, I can buff the Iato with pine resins and make it do more damage than the CB. The Iato +15 does 410 damage, while the chaos blade +5 does 452, still not a very big difference.

What's wrong withe the Tower Kite Shield? It's awesome! Give me a better option ! And my armor is the best possible armor regarding poise/physical defense with my weight. And it's just in the breakpoint.

And yeah, the Gold Tracer because of that. Though smart people can out-range you with spears and thrust attacks of other weapons.

@ rifter nine out of ten people already stole your build and are using it in the arena lol makes things so boring imo.

i'd go crazy without pyromacys tho, idk why this guy doesn't want them on a dex build..

I would change the pyromancy glove for the short bow as needed.

well i dunno. i dont think your dex is high enough to gc someone after a kick every time.

but i mean.. if you're going to use spells figure out a way to make them compliment your playstyle or have them as a way to setup a combo.

if ure gonna have blackflame on swap i wouldnt even bother.

IMO, Heater > Kite shield. Slightly less stability, same other stats. But, weighs 1 unit less. IMO, the 1 unit lower weight is more important than 4 less stability.

But the Heater has a different parry animation. It's the same essentially, but it's quicker, and because of that I can't get parries with it. I'm used to the Kite Shield...

Considering this, you still think it's better for me?

IMO, the Heater's difference in parrying is the recovery. IIRC, vagetta tested it and it has a quicker recovery animation.
