Okay so is one considered new blood from the time that passes by their joined date or post count they have?

Re: A Lot of New Blood
Actually, I've found that recently the Forum has enjoyed a bit of a comeback. There was a little time there when I thought we were floundering a bit but now things seem to have gotten back on track. Which is wonderful.
And I wish I knew what the problem was with the DkS2 section. Seems fairly benign to me. Personally, I don't post there much but that's only because I really don't have much to say about a game I know virtually nothing about.

New blood = new active members of the forums
Old Guard = long-time active members of the forums
Kinda makes me wonder who all is considered Old Guard now with as big as the community's gotten

This makes me really sad. It really does. He probably wouldn't even know who I am, but I always enjoyed reading his posts. He had some unique and awesome contributions to this community. Like his lore thread and my favourite: Toxic Fun Time!Tolvo wrote:He is gone.
We should gather in Lordran some day, and play the gravelord roulette to honor Acidic_Cook. I will miss him. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPDlfFeYKaM

Re: A Lot of New Blood
Wait. Acidic is gone? http://nooooooooooooooo.com/ I leave for a month or two and look what happens.
Anyway, what about the middle ground people, the ones who aren't newbloods or vets.
I'd like to think that I'm one of the Middle Men, but I might be a new blood.
We really ought to define each term.

I like to think of the old guard as people who signed up in the first month.

I don't know how I'd define my Forum standing. I guess I'm not Old Guard but I certainly don't feel as if I'm New Blood either.

Wrong thread, mate.
Did Tark punch you out of his thread?

Re: A Lot of New Blood
I'd like to think I'm somewhere in between being a new blood and a old guard. I'm probably not but whatever.
Either way I can see a reason to be worried about more people coming in. It's been fairly nice here but I've been on enough forums to know that this forum is different from the rest. I'm sure the moderators around here can handle a couple of new posting hooligans though.

Re: A Lot of New Blood
Well the people from the very beginning would be even beyond the old guard, They would be more like pillars of the forums. People like Acidic. And seeing as he left there is a bit of a void where he once was. And my worries mainly concern if we get too many forum ruining people. The mods and admins on these forums are the best I have seen as I said but they are only human. In all likelihood my worries will never come to anything but I have always been a worrier. Most of the newer guys seem cool. And as for the Dark Souls 2 section that is entirely a personal opinion on my part. And not even one I fully understand. Something about it just irks me slightly so I avoid it. Anyways I wasn't trying to say new blood is bad just that as with many things it carries risk. Great risk great reward so to speak. Sorry I probably should have been more specific about that at the start.

Re: A Lot of New Blood
Well always remember, if you are worried that people are hurting the forum with their posts, report the posts. The mods catch a lot of things, but they aren't omnipresent like I am. If you feel that some post is breaking the rules or could be hurtful, report it and let them decide. Doing a semi-citizen's arrest can go a long way even if you don't know Barney Fife.
If you are too young to get that, like I should be, here you go.

Re: A Lot of New Blood
True enough Tolvo. Ah well no use worrying about it until it happens. Now to figure out why the Dark Souls 2 section bugs me... hmmm. I shall explore it a bit to see if I can nail down a cause. Oh and hi dan. Long time no talk.
