I decided that since I'm a self-proclaimed assassin, it'd be a shame if I didn't have a build to represent it. This build is a Pure Assassin, which means it follows assassin rules: if one hit doesn't kill the target or you're spotted, back off and either leave the world or wait for another opportunity to come around. I might make an assassin code of conduct/guideline later
SL: Stopped at 50 because going to sl 99 would leave me mostly with areas where people are expecting to fight, instead of areas where people could just be passing through and trying to beat the boss. Going to SL 99 would also make me much less potent as an assassin seeing as I would either put the point into Dex(all the way up to 99) or endurance and people have way more health and more defense. Because of the diminishing effects, I would be getting one-hit kills much, much less frequently.
Armor: Chosen because they're black and allow me <25% equipment weight.

Armor: Chosen because they're black and allow me <25% equipment weight.
Weapons:
- Dark Silver Tracer - Chosen because I suspect it has the highest possible damage for backstabs at 50+ dex, regardless of armor
- Black Bow of Pharis - You never know when you might need a long range weapon
- Parrying dagger - The last resort for an assassin when your cover is blown. In a toe-to-toe fight you're boned, and it should never come to that, however a lucky parry could be your guardian angel.
- Oolacile Ivory Catalyst - lightest catalyst for casting magic
Magic:
- Chameleon - The most important spell for an assassin. As long as you're placed cleverly you can wait for people to run past you and then go in for a backstab
- Hidden Body - Not as useful as Chameleon, and possibly not useful at all. But the idea behind hidden body is that having a transparent body instead of a fully visible one reduces the risk of being seen as you walk around looking for the target.
- Fall control - For quickly scaling down steep cliff-sides or ledges without taking damage and indicating where you are(your health bar becomes visible no matter where you are if you take damage. It can be seen through the ground and walls)
- Aural Decoy - For attracting targets with their strange noise. Can also be used as a taunt since the noise sounds a lot like a laugh.
Rings:
- Hornet ring - for max damage. This is the only ring that is necessary for you to keep on at all times. Any other desired effects or effect combo can be achieved through the use of a clever combination of spells.(For example if you want to be transparent and silent, instead of using Ring of Fog and slumbering Dragon Crest Ring, you can use Ring of Fog and Hush.
- Cloranthy ring - For when you need the extra stamina to chase the target(or run away)
- Red Tearstone Ring - for 50% more damage and an increased chance of getting a one-hit kill. Be careful though, because the red aura that appears when the ring is active can't be hidden EXCEPT if you're using chameleon.
- Lingering Dragoncrest Ring - for longer spell effects
- Hawk Ring - Used with bows and binoculars to watch the target from a distance
- Rusted Iron Ring - Used to maintain maximum running speed through any terrain
- Ring of Fog - Used to appear transparent
