Lol owned, I have done that only once(dont really try much), its hard to pull off but if you're good at switching from wolf to rtsr its easier to do.

Oh lol I nearly forgot that Sans does that. Haven't watched his videos in a LONG time.
And the characters in my sig are from the Touhou series, and so is Shou Toramaru, the character that is most likely Sans' avatar on Youtube.
/just forgot that Shou is in the gif as well

That is damn impressive speed switching rings and riposte!
Also Kyokai I think Cirno is the closest to getting glass right.

That's right because the liquid in the glass is not "most likely H2O", it's obviously H2O2 lol.

Got to be one of those controllers with extra mappable buttons. One button and it quickly does the entire sequence of changing rings.

Lol obviously no, I can do that easily, in fact, I do it all the time, maybe without catching the riposte because I get nervous and misposition myself, but changing rings at that speed, is quite easy, also remember you can put the rings in the order you want, just put the ring you want to change to above or below one you've equipped and is very easy to do it.
The amazing thing about this video, is how the guy came up with that idea and performed it so quickly in the middle of the battle, and landed the riposte. He probably practiced it before too.

Re: Post Parry Hornet's Ring Riposte
swapping rings isn't hard. i always swap to rtsr or dwgr mid fight, and while i'm not the worlds best parry'er i have a rapier and hornet ring ready on swap for just what that guy did.
start, r1, up, left, x/o, down/up (depending where it is), x, start.
bam done deal.
if you go up left down its one sweeping movement with your thumb. you just have to time the x/o right.

Ouch XD I'd hate to have to fight him in PvP. Wish I could change equipment with his speed.

Re: Post Parry Hornet's Ring Riposte
I menu swap weapons mid fight regularly on a couple of my builds, but really, this is a little much. I suppose it could just as easily be real, but mappable buttons was the first thing that jumped to my mind.

Re: Post Parry Hornet's Ring Riposte
I was wondering if that'd be possible, nice find! Honestly though, I'd rather toggle to a backup crit weapon for a riposte than swap rings. He already had his estoc out and ready to riposte with, but if he hadn't, it wouldn't have been possible to toggle weapons and swap rings. (Not to mention you have to be damn certain you landed the parry to begin with! No time to second-guess.) Which means you have to fight with your crit weapon out to begin with. That's why I prefer to toggle rather than swap.

Unless you need to hardswap to your back-up crit weapon, you should be able to swap weapons and rings.BLA1NE wrote:I was wondering if that'd be possible, nice find! Re: Post Parry Hornet's Ring Riposte
I don't think you can swap rings while your character is performing the weapon switching animation. That's why I don't think you can do both, not enough time to wait for your character's animation to be done and then swap rings.
