Hard soul items

Hm, watching youtube playthroughs and I notice NO ONE...from ENB to Vageta...from Rui to...pretty much everyone else....NO ONE picks up the first soul item in the Asylum to the left right before the bird that takes you to Lordran...it's only a 200 soul item, but I find that in the early game that that makes a pretty big difference and NO ONE picks it up. Why?

Lol, YAY, me too. I just think it's weird, they'll pick up every other Soul of the Undead, EXCEPT for the first one, and it only takes like 3 seconds to run down the hill for an easy 200 souls.

I suppose it's because at the level they play then can get the souls they need skipping all those 100-200-400 soul items, I know I've been relying on them a lot less lately.

Well that would make sense if they didn't go out of their way to get other small soul items. Lol. And I'm not saying get it on the return trip which would be pointless but at the very beginning. When you first get to Lordran you have ~2400 souls...an extra 200 is pretty much an entire extra level at the start.

Yeah, that's true.

I skip so much of this game now its not even funny. I do however, make sure when I phantom I lead the hosts to bootys.

I think its just because people have one thing on their minds sometimes, "I cant wait to get this one to 100 (or 50 or something)".

I know it seems like you're not getting the biggest bang for your buck, but I see zero new stuff on playthroughs now...zero.

I'm not interested in anything other than completeing my build, no matter what kind of build it might be.

Why do I skip the treasure you mentioned? I dont know. Hard souls come in handy sometimes.
