Elemental Weapons in PVP

I'm making a toon for the upcoming event, SL50. I'm used to making higher level toons for PVP, where I usually use weapons that scale with Strength or Dexterity.

I am not used to low level weapons, so far looking at stats it seems Chaos does the most damage and Lightning a close second. So I'm thinking of making my two main weapons one of each.


In your experiences, is it a bad or a good idea to use elemental in low level PVP?

A good idea as long as you keep the stats at minimum requirements.
