I'm talking... there's a way to get to the roof parallel to the long narrow staircase that Chester invades on. I don't know how to, but if anyone would like to divulge this information, it would be greatly appreciated. I looked through all of the Township, inside and out. Nothing. But evidence would speak otherwise, as there was a red phantom standing on that tower for nearly an hour. And I was as my friend's phantom. Any ideas?

It's either just a spawn point, so you can get off it but not onto it, or you can jump to it.

It shouldn't be a spawn location. I believe there are only two places to spawn in the Township:

Just to be sure, are we talking about the taller building by the steps (with the windowed openings), or the lower tower by the wooden bridge?

edit: Ah ok, you're obviously talking about the taller building with the windowed openings. I almost made it up there, I think I know how to do it...

Finally made it!

You have to run along the outer-ledge of the building near it and do a running jump. Aim to land by the corner of the rooftop:


Nothing up there, though.

Controls
WASD+Mouse: Move and look around
Space: Jump
Shift: Quick Move (only in Free Flight mode)
Q and E: Move up and down (only in Free Flight Mode)
R: Cycle between FPS and Free Flight Mode
F: Toggle Oolacile and Darkroot Garden

Retro's guide is very accurate and I use this method myself to get there and camp dressed as Gough.

The guy who invaded just used gestures and dodged our various ranged attacks for about an hour. I looked everywhere, but before doing that I tried jumping thru the window to the roof. Apparently my idea wasn't too far off in that you just have to run off the edge instead. :3 Thanks!
