AFK Invaders?

I've been lone Hosting in the forset, just to mess around with the FoG ring BECAUSE YOU'RE A TRUE NINJA WITH IT.

I've noticed that alot of the Forset Hunter Invaders are AFK when they Invade, i do not complain, for the basic cause of FREE SOULS


But it's still somewhat annoying when i really wanna stick mei Sword ups some Invader's arse!

So... is this a question? Or just that you noticed Forest Hunters are AFK?

I think people know why they do it...

I get repeat invaded by an AFK forest hunter who drops 920K when I have CSS ring and SoA on.8)

Mostly a Heads Up! So, if ya want Free Souls. Go to Ze forest and DO NOT SUMMON anyone and Wait for Invaders! Because like GenericUsername just said, THESE GUYS DROPS WELL OVER 500K

Also I must say it makes for quite a scene when you get double invaded and the active hunter runs to the other to try and gang up and finds out they're AFK.

After I hosted in the Forest for a while and saw all of the AFK invaders, I realized why I would get no help so often even when someone else invaded.

"Yes! Another invader! We will surely take out the gankers now!" When in reality they aren't even there.

Who are these AFK invaders? I've done a lot of forest pvp and haven't run into a single one yet. Maybe they show up occasionally but waiting for many hours for that one idle invader (while meanwhile being forced to battle many active invaders) is hardly an effective strategy for soul farming, IMO.

I seem to get alot of them...I actually think they're AFK on Puropose since they're Naked and has almost/over 1M souls on them

Yea. I love the afk forest guys. sometimes I kill them for the free souls, but since I don't need the souls anymore(i have over 3 mil), I just drop an arrow in front of them to lure other forest guys to pick it up, then backstab the one who's a threat.

I drop prism stones around people who are AFK and spam the Hello carving. If it gets past ten minutes, I kick them to some secluded part of the area to confuse em when they get back. If I'm trying to PvP, I'll just kick them into a corner and hide behind them until more invaders arrive. NO ONE WILL THINK TO LOOK BEHIND A FELLOW ALLY FOR AN ENEMY HOST! If he comes back though, You're as good as dead.
With that said, yeah. I've seen like 4 or 3 AFK guys in the forest today. I had a lot of fun with that.
A few actually are AFK on purpose. They just want a free BS.

Wow you guys have some smart ideas. If I ever get a guy AFK I think I'll kick him next to a ledge and use him as bait to knock over invaders off with the Dragonslayer Greatbow.

As a forest invader, its an easy way to gain souls. Put on the cat ring, then go to sleep. In the morning you'll have a bunch more souls, because occasionally you'll invade and be alive when another invader kills the host. Who cares how many souls you 'give away'. Just expect all your humanity to be gone from people that dark hand you.

Dang it! I wish I had remembered to use my Dark Hand on them...
Although it's hard to do, landing a soul suck in the middle of a PvP fight is incredibly fun! I've only done it twice successfully though...

There was one night where all my invaders were AFK. I was forest hunting but i got summoned as a white. The guy i was with seemed new to the game so i helped him out. (You can't gank AFK players. =w=)/ )

After like 5 AFK players, i thought maybe there was some kind of hack that froze other player but later i found out they were only AFK. Lazy b@stards don't deserve to live in the forest.

Wait, they're only there to get free souls? I should've definitely stolen their humanity... Too bad there's no weapon to steal souls(I'd love to see that in the next game! )

Yeah; you get free souls occasionally, but you give a ton away. Fair trade.

occasionally they're wearing armor, when they are i kill them with my bare fist because equipment damage is calculated based on the number of hits not the severity of the hits, usually thats enough to bust 300 durability armor, but most don't wear armor so i just kick them onto the open field and place prism stones around them making a little statue garden... i also sometimes use them as free invincibility frames, bs'ing them if the other invader is being a spammy jerk.

Sometimes I wish we had friendly fire :evil:
