Lack of forum activity?

@Slarg Yeah, I've seen that happen in quite a few forums, this would be forum #4 for me right now. That's why I'm hoping this thread will be different, for the most part the moderators around here are very capable of handling the occasional troll post, but I just have to wonder how many trolls will stray onto the forums once Dark Souls 2 comes out.

I don't know if it will be trolls necessarily who will come when DkS2's launch date approaches, but we will get new people and, I'm sure, more than a few will probably not be the type most of us like conversing with. People who are truculent, ignore the rules, or are outright trolls will probably come over, sadly.

It is the way of the world. I'm enough of an optimist that I believe that when all is said and done most of the new members will be positive additions.

Unless you are god I doubt Tolvos rep can be beating if you are not an old guard.
Also from what I gathered this forum might be the closest thing to order and peace. No unreasonable trolls, insults, hate and the ones running things don't abuse power! To keep things good is something to be proud of admins! Give them an applause people...or this

I remember the guy using a joker avatar, god i can't remember his name, still active i believe. He used to get downrepped for no apparent reason whatsoever. Even when he made a good and funny comment there was a downrep.

Even still, i was pretty surprised by how "well kept" this forum was from trolls when i joined.

Jester? Yes, he would be the perfect example of someone that has been rep-trolled too much. I remember every time he would make a topic he would get a downrep, I believe it actually went over -30.

I don't think it was the avatar that caused the down-reps. I think people down-repped him a lot because he used to have a nasty little habit of TYPING IN ALL CAPS.

That's my guess anyway.

Buggy Virus also had a very low rep. But I think he wanted it. Not 100% sure, though.

IveGoneHollow has been having the same issue with rep-trolls but that's likely from players mad about dying to him a lot.

On the topic of food: The whole entire day I have been eating nothing more than chicken patty meat placed on a toasted bagel with mustard, it's delicious.

On the topic of Jester's rep: Sometimes rep-trolls just get bored or some are oversensitive to someone's post, which is likely the reason why Jester got such a negative rep because someone got bored.

On food: Oh god I hope to keep the chicken soup down. Damn illness seemed to move from my head to stomach and it's hell.
On rep: that's just wrong to decide to go after someone's post just to -rep because your bored.

It's why we can't have nice things or in this case rep.
Back on the topic at hand: I don't think I've ever eaten chicken soup, for the most part I eat ramen and that's it.

Rep to me contributes to your creditability as a summary of the person's post without reading them. However with jester his post had no reason to be down rep.
Another off-topic: I finally think these are partially deaf. I never been within two feet of these things from behind without aggro. Their ribbits have a strange calmness to the depths.

I normally get my rep from making jokes in the general section. I've never cared about it really though, I have about as much credibility as a pink elephant.

I think it all depends on what the Mods wish to allow and what we as the forumers want the mods to allow. I personally want the Swag thread in GD to be closed, killed with fire, brutally abused, and processed into fast food. Other people probably don't agree with me.

He got down repped because he posted something about Gwynevere I believe. I akways thought he was very funny but people got offended easily.
