Gwyndolin Build

Looking to make a Gwyndolin build.

I will use his complete set, the darkmoon talisman, and the darkmoon catalyst. I am pretty wide open as to melee weapon choice, but with zero poise it is nice to have some range.

Soul level can be anywhere from 75 to 125ish.....

So, the idea is that his catalyst works for every sorcery but scales with faith

dificult for 120, the one you made its good, but the sorcs will do low damage, I believe

the build you made its already awesome, I don't know how much it could be improved PVP wise

The sorceries shouldn't be too weak though hopefully....?

With the BDC ring, the Crown, and the catalyst that scales with Faith.....?

The closest thing to all of his spells are sorceries, though... You'd think Gwyndolin should be a Fth build, but I think he'd work better as a straight-up Int build.

He needs an Avelyn and most of his spells really look much more like sorceries. We're talking about Soul Spears/Arrows and Soulmasses.

But I could just throw the Moonlight set on my Mage build then though.

I like the intel/faith combo, and I definitely want to use the three Darkmoon items, I am going to go with this, http://mmdks.com/19yv

.... and I am thrilled to find that it uses the Thief as it's starting class, (I have never started as a Thief).

Will probably use the Avelyn too though.....

Hmmmm....need 11 strength for the Avelyn though right?

That looks good too, but can someone confirm that Avlyn only needs 11 strength for me?

It needs 16 STR to be one-handed, so 11 when two-handed would be enough - that is unless you want to use it for surprise attacks where you'd need to use it one-handed.

....he is hosting in the Township, and also DM invading from there. With only 220 defense, and zero poise at level 150 I thought I would get creamed a lot, but honestly I am at least 75/25% wins.

Dark Bead hits like a truck with the DM Faith catalyst/Bellowing Ring/Crown of Dusk combo.

My one question is whether to use a +15 Avelyn with Heavy Bolts, or leave it as Lightning with Lightning Bolts....?

I know for scaling weapons +15 is always better, but how about xbows?

Whoops sorry for not noticing this, try the PvP section next time. I see you got it done, I wanted to post my take anyway. It's nice you went SL 150...this is a version which uses "moon" sorcery, the homing orbs and giant ball similar to Soul Spear.

Fights have evened out a bit, lol.

Probably about 55/45 win/loss, (which is my about my average on my good days. ).

Very fun build. One of my more rewarding ones of late.

Any advice on the Avelyn?
