All Gravelord Warriors who Want a Quick new Build Empty All Gravelord Warriors who Want a Quick new Build

Post by User Fri Jan 20, 2012 1:59 am

Listen to what I have to say, and you can have an easy build of a Gravelord with a NEW Character at the start. It is fairly easy. Just hear what I say, and the words will come forth, so that the plague can expand across the field.

Start with any class. However if you want to go quicker, pick a Pyromancer. The fireballs will help out. Pick whatever gift you want, it does not matter. I picked the Tiny being's Ring to test out the quality of it, which seems to just add +30 health, and not 5%. However, let us continue. Their will be some backtracking, but you will be able to infect the rest of the areas other than the catacombs with ease.

First off, exit the asylum. Spend your first souls on your level. After you do your SL buisness, pick up the Humanity and the 6 Firebombs in the firelink shrine. The rest is unecessary, unless you want a better weapon, in which case just get from the graveyard, as all three weapons are half-decent. A weapon is not a primary necessity for this. Once you have obtain the firebombs and the one humanity, do not use them. Head towards the primary starting area, which is Undead Burg. don't even bother linking the first bonfire their. Just head to the merchant. With the souls you have collected, buy a good amount of firebombs. trust me, you will need it. Then, buy a few arrows of your liking. You will need them also. Don't bother with a Bow. Kill the Crystal Lizard, but killing the Bull Demon is not necessary. You can use the bonfire in Undead Burg now if you are afraid of death and backtracking. Once you recieve the twinkling titanites and the spares, Head back to Firelink Shrine once done with a merchant.

head down to New Londo (no need for master key, so don't worry). Make sure you have used all the humanity in your inventory, since it will help search for weapons. Once down their, grab the 2 transent curses in the jar, and head across the 2 wooden bridges. activate the curse, and head out.Do not use a firebomb on one ghost, unless their is just one. Make sure they are bunched up together. Throw the firebomb once to catch them both, than kill them with a two handed weapon. A spear would not be the best choice, but it can serve well. Once done, pick up the other 2 transet curses that are in another jar, and head towards the Firekeeper Soul. Again, use the firebombs wisely. As a Pyromancer, the fireballs can help easily with the cause an an extra 8 stronger firebombs. Collect the Firekeeper Souls once cleared.

Once done, head up the staircase. Two ghosts CAN great you, and it is best to kill both of them. Once done, head across the stone bridge. Only two ghosts will attack you first, but you can't attack it. Attract them, but do not head on. use rolls and shields, and draw them to the bridge. Once done, use firebombs or 2H Swings to kill them. a kick and an attack adds extra damage, remember that. Once you killed those two ghosts. Head to the room, where a ghost just stands their. Once you see ghosts raise from the ground, run back to the bridge. One ghost will certainly be in your way, but you can whack it away, or move around it. Again, use your bridge to your advantage. They will always retreat once they reach the halfpoint of it, remember that. Once dead, collect their transent curses. Remember to pick up all inventory from the ghosts, as a Ghost Blade or Jagged Ghost Blade might drop, and at low levels is great for PvE. With such a low level, requirements are a joke, and damage is stellar. If not, a Club will be a better choice to defeat the next trial, which is obvious if you have become a Gravelord Before.

Go threw the fog gate once you kill the ghost that rises beside it. Kick the ladder down, In case you die at the next part. It will be tricky. Do not bother with the ghosts, run across the platform to the second staircase that leads down. The ghosts won't follow. Once done, head to the door and back out. Two ghosts will follow from the structure. The ghosts from the bell roof will leave you alone. Kill them with firebombs easily. Once dead SPRINT, and i mean SPRINT into the structure, down the staircase, and to where the staircases head to where the lever is. Go up a few staircases, until you have enough room to see about 7-8 ghosts coming after you. Remember to back off and use the Firebombs wisely. If you have a shield, have it up when not throwing, and roll whenever possible to dodge. Once all 7-8 ghosts are killed by the firebombs, head to where the lever is. Instead, go up the spiral case and pick up the Composite Bow. It will be necessary for later. If you picked up a Jagged Ghost Weapon along the way, the next part of the fast Gravelord keep will be easy, since the damage is fantastic. If not yet, kill the banshee ghosts and the few ghosts that protect her. Take all inventory found. Killing the sealer is not necessary, so be relieved if you do not want your story to be broken. Otherwise, go for it. You might die. Pick up the green titanite if you want a fire weapon.

Once you have picked up a (jagged) ghost blade and the Composite Bow, use the proud Knights soul and the souls you got from the ghosts to + 2 the weapon for better efficiency. If you gut a Titanite Shard from undead burg, you can upgrade your bow as well. Now the next thing is important. Once you have your equipment, head to the Catacombs. Soul Level up if you have spares. Aim for the wielding of the Composite Bow, as the next few parts will be necessary. The four skeletons leading to the skeletons is easy. When you reach the black pit with the two skeletons (as the third will probably fall to his death as soon as you enter), use the wisps to knock em down, or kick it off the ledge for permanent death. Once done, kill the skeleton by the staircase. Do not disturb the two skeletons in the same room as the skeleton you just killed by the ladder, just wisp yourself threw the door to the entrance to the Locked Door. Two Skeletons will arise. Kill them, and run to the bonfire. A necromancer will greet you, and you shall greet him with your ghost blade. Remember, two handing it is better than one handing it. Roll if necessary, the blade can also block as well. Once dead, the Skeletons you knocked down (the three) will enter. Kill them as well, and they will permanently die. Unlock the door, and sit at the bonfire. You will probably die by this.

Head to the open catacombs after killing the two skeletons by the bonfire again. Before interacting with the skeleton infront of you, pull out your bow. Aim for the Necromancer for headshots. Make sure not to miss, as arrows are of highest value. Kill him, and the skeletons ahead will be a smooth sail. Once dead, go threw the skeletons with ease. Remember to not die. Now here is the tricky part. When you reach towards the first spiked bridge, a necromancers and two skeletons on the other side are their. You have two options. One, kill the Necromancer with even less damage than the first one you snipe, and kill him with the Composite Bow. Or Two, SPRINT to the lever to the bridge. The skeletons that spawn won't notice you, as you will pass them with speed. However the two that guard the lever will. Just roll and make sure to block ONLY when necessary. Head to the lever and activate it. Dodge the skeletons, and sprint again. Roll a good chunk and head to the bridge. Run TOWARDS the Necromancer and the two skeletons. Once you almost reach the entrance to the second are, jump off the bridge, to you right, to where the second bonfire lays. Skeletons may follow. Make sure you kill them, as one or two may follow you, and reach towards the second bonfire. You may notice that the bridge also turns at this time. Don't worry about it, head to the Bonfire first.

Once done, the enemies will be set in place once again. Good. Go to the lever which moves the second jagged bridge. Patches is their. Talk to him and answer No. Once done, go across the Bridge a good amount until you see the Broken Staircase to your right. Beside it to the left of the staircase is a tiny cliff. Roll to it. Patches will make the bridge spine back again (an attempt to kill you. I just saved your hide from humiliation). Roll down until you see where a Necromancer and a Lever are. Kill the Necromancer, and then kill the one or two skeletons that are by the staircase in front of you (you will know what I mean. Activate the lever. GO up the staircases and kill the skeletons. They will permanently die, so be wary of sanctuary of sorts. Go up till you see the Necromancer you spared. Killed him, and only one necromancer will remain. To the left, after you kill the Necromancer and the skeletons beside him, their is a hole in the wall. Enter it, and go down a pit where one of the two grave indents are (you will know when you see it). you will fall down, and two lizards are their. Kill at least one of them. But be warned to roll, as almost all of the statues (with the exception of possibly one) shoot spikes out. Kill at least one. It will be necessary for later. You will land by the Lever that turns the first bridge once you leave that area. Go back to the first bridge, and jump down to where the second on is as before.

Talk to patches, say yes, and he will give you humanity. Good. Use that humanity at the second bonfire for Human Form if not done before, or you had lost it (you would not need human form beforehand, so this way no loss is made). Return the second bridge. Roll back to where the ledge is beside the broken staircase is. Don't jump down to where the lever is. Turn right where the Great Scythe is. Go down another indent that is in a good sized room. You will fall. Once recovered, turn around to where a ledge is that points upwards. turn right and look down. You will see a summon sign down bellow. Ignore the Wisps, just jump down. Activate the Summon Sign, and the greatest hero will help you with this next annoying part. This man with holy armor and a Grant will be summoned. On the cliff you are on, their are two smaller cliffs by it. One holding a wheeled skeleton, another a monk suit. You can either jump kill the skeleton wheel, or go and collect the monk suit. It does not matter. Once down, Leeroy will be stoping the wheel skeletons with his grant, and distract them. All skeleton wheels will probably come, so keep your shield up, and kill the Wheels only when they have stopped rolling. Don't waste HP. Later on, he will have killed all but possibly one skeleton wheel, which can easily be taken down by yourself. Do not head to the Fog Gate to Pinwheel. head back.

Kill the Black Knight that hopes down from the ledge first. That is a priority. You cand rag it to leeroy, as leeroy will be camping by the fog gate, in which case you will beat it with a Grant. Don't worry about his health, he can heal himself just fine. Once the Black Knight is killed, go to the Necromancer with the two archers, and kill them. Then head back to Leeroy. get your + 2 ghost weapon, and head to Pinwheel. If you have fought pinwheel before, this should be an easy fight. Dodge his fires, and kill all of his replicas first before him. Leeroy will help. Once killed, the Rite of Kindle will be given. For a gravelord Servant, this is your KEY TOOL TO SURVIVAL. Rememebr that. Once done, head back. Use the Homebone if have it. When done so, head back to where the Titanite Demon is, where the Gravelord Servant Entrance is (the sarcophagus). Now enter the thing. After a few seconds, you will be invited to where Nito sleeps. Enter the Covenant. Now here is a key factor to think of. When you head back, you have both the Ghost Blade and the Gravelord Sword. Both useful weapons. When you head back, kill the titanite demon. Once done, collect the titanite from him, and the three eyes. Those eyes are key. Now if you know how to find the skeleton smith, you can do so as well. But the rest is all done for you.

Congrats, you have reached a Gravelord without delay. Congrats! You could have headed to the Catacombs full out like I have before, although death is certain, as patience will not let you win in their without the proper tools. You also did it without a Divine Weapon, congrats on that as well. Welcome to the club. I hope this guide helps all those who seek easy access to the Covenant.

I Hope it helps you, as it has helped me before

Man this is awesome! And it sounds like an excellent challenge but it definitely is the shortest way. If you don't mind I will give it a try and PM you on what I did and if you then would like to review it. If you find anything useful you can add it.

I have tested this way twice with two characters. One cleric, and one Pyromancer. It Is a challenge I can say, but remember that the rewards are great.

Question: Do you have to have Leeroy invade first before his summon appears?

Leeroy invades only if you have put the lord vessel down, and you head to Nito. You can summon Leeroy first before he invades in this case, due to the catacombs being the 'gate' to Tomb of Giants

He is more of a Skeleton Wheel Killer, since the hoping down there is safer than the other root. Since he can heal itself, he can take damage and distract wheels. Leeroy and Pinwheel I have seen once, and he is very slow. Still, he will help more than going after the Wheel Skeletons by yourself.

All Gravelord Warriors who Want a Quick new Build Empty Re: All Gravelord Warriors who Want a Quick new Build

Well. After being killed by Darkwraiths with some heavy posie gear and a lightning weapon, the weapons you can get as a Gravelord can be annoying as hell, as Darkwraith griefers are only limited by the minimum they can invade. They can kill bosses and upgrade with ease, while you the Gravelord must wait for a victim to arrive. Can be annoying. However, I have been able to find ways, to turn that around.

If you have went to become a Gravelord before killing any boss other than Pinwheel, congrats. However later on you will find Darkwraiths more than spirits of vengance. Most low-level griefers are armed with heavy poise and a lightning weapon, so killing them is less than a 50% chance if you become a low-level Gravelord Griefer, and waste your eyes every time. Do not worry.

First go back to where Pinwheel is. If you have not killed him yet, do so. Make sure you have the Gravelord Sword, because the next part of your journey will be harsh. Head to the Tomb of Giants. If you got a lantern, good. Then you can skip this paragraph for the next. If not, follow these instructions:

The Tomb of Giants is an area where light is prohibited by only three things: lantern, cast light, and sunlight maggot. With the lantern being the easiest to get, as one Necromancer will drop it, as one butcher will always drop a sack. If you did not get one, then follow the Prism Lights on the Ground. Watch your feet from falling. One skeleton will greet you. If you have the Gravelord Sword, a swing or three will kill it with ease. Follow the prism stones to the first slide. Slide down, and prepare to face the second skeleton. Follow the walls and prism, and go down the second slide. Beware, as you have two choices during this time. One is to possibly face to giant skeletons in the dark. Or two, run past them with rolls when they swing, and head down the third slide. Activate the Bonfire and rest. Once done, climb up the ladder and speak to patches. Say no, and walk to the cliff. He will knock you down to the ground below (don't worry, no Dmg taken). Once done with the cinematic, loot the body's for a Skull Lantern, and your done. Head back up and reach back to the bonfire. If you speak to patches again, say no for two humanities.

Now for those who entered the Tomb with a lantern from a Necromancer, just go to the first bonfire. Once their, rest at it and go against the Skeleton Beast. Be carful, as you will be in danger with the fact that it is stronger than you. A few swings will do just fine. Once done, head to the fog gate. Once you enter, kill the Skeleton Beast in front of you, before the Halberd Knight runs from your left. Once both are dead, kill the archer and beast skeletons in the area as well. Make sure no arrows hit you. Unless you can dodge, use your shield. You can faintly see the enemies you face, and it is better to be protected with a good shield. Once done, head down and turn right. Their should be a ramp that leads you to a Corpse. The Efficy Shield. That will be your new best friend. Once down their, you can kill the Beast down below by jump attacking him from above. Once done so, kill the skeleton friend he has by him idly. Sprint Jump to where the Skeleton Warrior was, and jump up the steep little ramp to slide up. Loot the body, and obtain the Silver Ring. Ignore the bone towers if you like, and head to the first bonfire. Once their, take the little showcase where the hidden wall to the maiden's ladder was, and head towards the skeleton and archer. Kill them and climb up the ramp. Kill the two skeletons up their one at a time, and take the extra 3 eyes of death by them as well. Once you reach Pinwheels Tomb, use the shortcut to reach the Catacombs. Remember the Wheel Skeletons, and do NOT sprint threw. Take your time. Don't make them horde you either. You can do both and get out alive, but it is highly Unlikely, as you will be attacked mostly up front and back. Once you pass the Wheels, head to the second bonfire, and head home.

Now that you have the Occult Shield, lightning weapons will be a joke to you in combat. As well, the Silver Ring will give you 20% more souls, which is a gift I give you. Enjoy the gifts both give, you earned it.

    Happy Plaguing.

Hey. If Darkwraiths can grief low level beings, why not Gravelords? However hard to do so, as you can not access areas without losing the ability to infect areas. I am just trying to help those gravelords without master keys to be so. happy

Also to add, for the cutscene to initiate you must have an eye of death in your inventory. So im presuming this means you must kill the titanite demon to access the eyes behind it?

Yes. just follow the guide I made. It will be easier. Good luck trying to kill the Titanite Demon without the sword. I pray to you it will take a while. I know. Trust me. I have succeeded in doing it before without it twice with this test (the Jagged Sword, which barley does jack *** to the stone demon). So with all Kindness I have, get the Gravelord Sword first. Just follow the guide, and you will be easier than doing the alternatives.

Yes. However, i am not a user of faith weapons, as they never appealed to me. Only the physical + 15 weapons have stuck to me so. Even Astro's Sword has not. This is just a guide for those to not use master key. Unless they want to try to run past all 5 Drakes after they kill a wizard with low weapons, you are welcome to try. However it will be faster if you just knock the skeletons down and killed the Necromancers at the right time, I guarantee. Astro's Sword's Damage output is crap. Heh.

Post by User Thu Feb 09, 2012 12:14 am

For those who seek this guide for a quick and easy Gravelord Servent, I must edit and claim some things, as well as some other hints when it comes to such a challenge.

Remember the three tomb slides it takes to get to the first Tomb of Giants Bonfire? Well, If you do not want to counter must enemies, you can just follow this: After you go down the first slide, you can kill the Skeletal Giant, and look down the cliff where it once stood. You will find a flashing body, which is the same corpse that Humanity is on. You can just jump down from their, instead of countering two melee skeletons going down the enxt two slides.

As well, when it comes to passing the first fog gate, as soon as you here the Black Knight, back off and wait for it to come to you. Kill the Black knight, and then sprint towards the hole that leads to the second bonfire. Just sprint and pass by the skeletons, as they will mostly only chase after you if near them, so remember so.

As well, it takes 2-3 hits with your gravelord sword, jsut remember, as said before, to upgrade it with one demon titanite, AND two-hand it. If not, the 1H takes 3-4 if not using R2 well. As well, the R1 Two-Handed Stuns them, so blocking will not be always required. Stunning the Beasts is not as easy, so use your shield against them when can. However if you just pass the two beasts past the fog gate, and you jump onto the dog skeleton with a jump attack as said before hand, you will encounter only one skeletal beast. You can also use the sloppy cliff to make the skeletal beast slide towards the pit where the maiden WILL be (not now, if follow the guide so soon).

For some reason, I have to confess, for some reason I had twice went to the Gravelord Servent Covenant without any eye of death before hand, after killing Pinwheel. However, it has not happened ever after the two times. It seems similar to how the with in the swamp will not show even after +10 pyromancy for me, so... meh. It will be more easy for you to kill the Titanite than to trust your luck as it has persisted in me before twice. If you have spare Firebombs and Arrows, you can easily damage it from afar, as their is a point where it won't chase after you, and will either shoot bolts, back away, or have a long swing if too close. Afterwards, you can kill it with a Jagged Ghost Blade + 2. If not, just run past the Demon, go back to the bonfire to reset it (or die, if can't run so fast), and use the sarcophagus to go to the Gravelord, Nito. For those who can not get that luck as I had before, then use this. Maybe it has to do with the masks from Pinwheel that let me in before, as the two times I joined the covenant without the eye, I had the Mask of the Mother equipped, so... I don't know. Just grab the eye for easier claims.

Also, when I say to buy the arrows from the Merchant, It will be wise to either by the wooden or standard arrows. Don't waste ytour time on the large, spare your souls for firebombs and such. As it were, you can use the spare firebombs to contain the Skeletons if they come.

Last, but not least, I have found that many enemies that I gravelord at such low levels is annoying when it comes to Red Phantoms coming, instead of Blue, and they always have lightning weapons. Even with the shield, it is of annoyance. For a better cause, since it requires faith to use the Effigy Shield, and to also use a talisman to use the Gravelord Sword Dance, get the Tranquil Walk of Peace. I have not explained how to get it, so I shall help you.

If you have not any arrows left, you can easily use the shortcut that leads to the titanite demon, with the bridge roll. Make the three skeletons fall to the pit where the wheels are. Then draw the two skeletons that come after the first fog gate of the catacombs. Draw them, and push them off the cliff the same way. You can draw these enemies down, by standing beside a cliff, and make them fall with them rolling off the cliff if they do not have a 100% reach of grounding. A small gap can lead to their fall, if placed properly. As well, firebombs and kicks will do. Then go threw the piled brick wall, do a jump attack on the first Skeleton Archer, and do it again on the two rolling skeletons underneath you. Sprint forward to the ring, but to not grab it. Turn right when the gap to the necromancer comes. The giant skeleton will fall, but a door will hold im back from reaching you. Sprint to the necromancer, two-hand, and slash away at him, before the skeleton that spawns by him comes up to protect him. Afterwards, climb up the ladder, and grab the TWoP Miracle. Although a short time, it is meant to hold enemies in place. AND, since you have a gravelord sword, and the heavy attack is a long spear-like thrust... you can see how anyone without a winged spear or anything of similar length will have a hard time with it, when the Miracle is active, as well as the super stunning effect such an attack does. You can go back and grab the ring, if you want. Advisable if you want to kill the Maiden Man of a Fool before killing the illusion of Anor Londo.

This is the edit. Remember to be strong, and show those you infect with no mercy. Thank you Meridam, I should have posted in Sooner times when i have discovered new things. Take care, all Gravelord servants. Happy Plaguing.

OP this is a good guide but there is an easier way. You can go straight from firelink to the catacombs and run through naked, pass the totanite demon, grab the eyes and hop in the coffin. The forum user here Vegeta showed it in one of his videos and I did it, took me 15 minutes from creation of character to becoming a gravelord (took Vegeta 5 min in his video). You don't have to fight anything.

I started a warrior, went through the asylum as fast as i could then from firelink I grabbed the homeward bones then took off all armor but warrior head, so I still had 1 poise. Then ran through the catacombs, pressed first switch where I died. Then ran through again, jumped off first bridge and landed on second which took me to the titanite demon. Ran by him for eyes then hopped in coffin. After making the covenent I homeward boned out. Was a level 7 gravelord after that, then darned souls in Burg till I got SL 15 and started gravelording.

I can't link his video on my phone but I can link his thread about it.

Watch first 7 or so minutes and youll see him do it.
