Crown of Dusk actually lowers dark bead power?

Alright so I was doing some tests to see if the bloated sorcerer head boosted magic power of dark sorceries (it doesn't), and I saw something curious.I tested Crystal Soul Spear with TCC and Bellowing Dragoncrest Ring at 50 int. These were the results:

Crystal Soul Spear
w/ Crown of Dusk 1360
w/ nothing 1126

Then I did the same thing but with Dark Bead and these were the results:

Dark Bead
w/ nothing 840
w/ Crown of Dusk 710

All other dark sorceries seem to be boosted by the Crown of Dusk, but Dark Bead seems to be the only one whos power is lowered. Also, at the time I had 10 humanities, though I don't think that affects them.

Hmm...Could be a possibility due to Lore

What enemy were you testing this on? If it has a small character model, one of the beads might have missed on the crown test?

That was what I was thinking too.

Yeah, the crown increases the dork bead damage. But I've also had varying damage against the same enemy when it looked like all the beads hit, so one or two probably missed or hit after they died.

Why don't you test it on a boss then?
Find one who is big enough to be sure that none of the projectiles miss and has enough HP to survive the full Dark Bead hit.

Stray Demon could be good for this test.

Let's say a mob had 500 HP.
If you do 200 damage without the crown, a test on this mob will indicate 600 damage a cast.
If you do 260 damage with the crown, a test on this mob will indicate 520 damage a cast.

That's all you've seen. Dusk crown increases damage.
