My wife gave me the talk yesterday. No not birds and the bees, I already know that short story with the happy ending. I am talking about the, "Make a choice, PS3 or Me!" talk. Needless to say that I have been a little negligent in the home lately. I wouldn't say the DkS is at the same level as an MMORPG, but I am definately hooked. I will still be on here on the forums, but actually playing on the PS3 I will be cutting back a lot.

I hear you. My wife also gives me that talk now and again, and I probably deserve it. I work crazy hours and I'm extremely attentive with my daugther (she's a total daddy's girl), but I confess that I really suck at housework. If only we didn't need to sleep...

I had to have this talk with myself last week. I pretty much didn't do homework for the first 4 weeks of the semester. I haven't touched DS in a week. Actually kinda feels good. It was starting to make me a little nutty.

Nothing wrong with a break from Dark Souls, it can actually make one appreciate the game more when they come back to it. Plus you'll free up a lot of time to do other things this way

Just only play if you've finished your homework.

That's not the issue though..

Just teach your kids to play Dark Souls themed pretend games so you can vicariously play it! Have them gang up and jump on you and play "Forest PvP." Play a game of hide and seek where you have to hide inside of things, "Chameleon!" Take them over to another house and kill the family and steal their humanity, "Dark Wraith!" Haha.
