Hi hope someone can help me I am currently equipped with a ring of favor and protection and a ring of sons 1st born which boosts my miracles 20% I believe if I remove ring of favor (destroying it) and equip another ring of sons 1st born will that stack and boost my miracles another 20% and if so would it be worth losing the stats from ring of favor? My miracle level is 57 and I wear the crown of dusk

Re: stacking effects
You can't equip two of the same ring.
Even if you could, I don't think 20% miracle power would be worth 20% health, 20% stamina, AND 20% weight equipment.

Re: stacking effects
The game won't even give you the option to equip 2 of the same ring, but you can equip other stuff that have similar effects. Red Tearstone Ring and Power Within will increase the damage of everything. Crown of Dusk will increase all magic damage. Ring of the Sun Princess will boost a few, not all, miracles.

Re: stacking effects
I like to use the Red and Blue Tearstone Rings early in the game, in conjunction. They can be very effective.

Red and blue.
They are two different rings.

Re: stacking effects
+100% and +50%+50% are different. 80+100% is 160. 80+50% is 120. 120+50% is 180. I'm pretty sure it would be 180, as thats how the others stack.

Re: stacking effects
Just to clarify the actual percentage... two Havel's rings would be an overall 125% increase in equipment capacity:
100 + .5(100) = 100 + 50 = 150 ...... first ring
150 + .5 (150) = 150 + 75 = 225 ...... second ring
225 - 100 = 125 ...... overall increase in capacity
125/100 = 125% ...... percentage increase
100 + 1.25(100) = 100 + 125 = 225 ...... theoretical final capacity
You're adding two halves (a whole or 100%) plus half of the first half (a quarter or 25%).
100 + .5(100) = 100 + 50 = 150 ...... first ring
150 + .5 (150) = 150 + 75 = 225 ...... second ring
225 - 100 = 125 ...... overall increase in capacity
125/100 = 125% ...... percentage increase
100 + 1.25(100) = 100 + 125 = 225 ...... theoretical final capacity

Re: stacking effects
Stacking doesn't work like that.
Even if you could equip two of the rings, it would be 40%.
Look at Dusk Crown and Bellowing, it should be around +70%, not +40%.

Re: stacking effects
I'm not entirely sure what you're trying to say Dibs, but it makes perfect sense stacking BDCR and the dusk crown will yield around a 40% increase in damage. The crown of dusk increase magic by 20% and the BDCR increases it by 20-26%. For the sake of simplicity if we'll look at BDCR at a 20% increase...
Increasing damage by 20% would of course yield 120% of the original damage potential. Increasing that by another 20% would make the overall damage increase 44%. Looking at a spell that (conveniently) causes 100 damage:
100 + .2(100) = 100 + 20 = 120 ....... new damage for 1 item only
.2(120) = 24 .................................. added damage after equipping second item
20 + 24 = 44 ............................... total increase from stacking
44/100 = 44% ............................ percentage increase from stacking
Sparing everyone the math (including and especially myself) the high end (26% on the BDCR) would yield a 51.2% increase in damage output.
Open up mugenmonkey and the calculator and experiment with items that stack (ie father mask, Havel's and ring of F&P or mother mask and F&P). You'll see that even in the year 2013 algebra is still going strong.
