Firelink Shrine Keeper?

I've been re-playing Dark Souls just for the sake of finding new lore that could be linked to DkS2. I came across something very interesting...
There hasn't been confirmation of WHO the girl was in the first trailer, but in interviews they said she'd be similar to the Firelink Keeper, but what if she IS. When you regain her soul after killing Lautrec they says "Forgive me...I am impure, my tongue never meant for restoration...Please, if you have any heart...Leave me be... I wish not to speak..." The way that she was handing the feather and grasping the characters hand around seemed like a goodbye, but she didn't say anything. Maybe she's regretful for letting him go on his journey only to die, so now she thinks that she is cursed. Has any else noticed the similarity yet? Or am I just fishing to try to find a good piece of lore... I'm open to any speculation.

Update: It says in the description for the Blood Stained Skirt: "Perhaps its former[i][b] wearer was maimed to prevent escape". It may be because you obtain it, or maybe she took the robes? I don't have a clue, but I'll keep looking into this and keep anyone who's interested updated.

I don't really see any similarity. As we know so little I don't even see the point of speculating at the moment.
