Musou Game Thread?

I'm sure you all know what the Musou games are, but just to be sure Musou games are any of the following:

Dynasty Warrios
Samurai Warriors
Warriors Orochi
Dynasty Warriors Gundam
Ken's Rage

I think there's also a One Piece Musou game.

Anyone else play them? I've always been hugely fond of the Dynasty Warriors series.

I've enjoyed the titles I've played.
DW4, 5, 6, and Samara Warriors.

Dynasty Warriors 6 and Saumrai Warriors 3 were pretty bad yeah, because they tried to mix things up and ruined it all. Dynasty Warriors 7 is amazing though.

I can never take Dynasty Warriors seriously.

Then again I don't think it is intended to be taken so seriously.

I just have a hard time thinking positively about those games since I know a guy who treats them as accurate tales of history to the T.

Oh trust me they're not meant to be taken seriously at all.

Also, that guy is silly. While it does use real people, places, kingdoms and battles it's incredibly over the top and all over the place. Plus I think it's more based off of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel than the actual events themselves.

It is. It's a Romanticism of that epic novel.



I think DW6 was a far better title than anyone gives it credit for.

I used to play DW5 a lot. I played some of the other ones too but didn't enjoy them as much.
