Just like Artorias, description about the first born son of lord Gwyn only told half the story. After being banished from Anor Londo he falls into dark in an attempt for revenge, and you see him all dark and intimidating and chucking BLACK LIGHTNING.

I love a good plot twist.

Nah, I doubt FROM will reveal these kind of mysteries in dks 2. They are probably too busy creating new ones. But Miyazaki did post on his twitter some months ago that possible hint about a lore connection."Before the darkness, what would make the gods leave?".So maybe the two games lore won't be completely separated like the developers implied.

Like I've said before, I dunno why people are saying that they are creating completely new lore and ignoring the rest:

I think they're gonna go with the elder scrolls model of lore- each game goes to a different time in the history of the land, and the lore is slowly built up over several games into this fully flushed out world that you step into, almost familiarly in every game, but seeing as it's in a different location, is new at the same time.

yeah and they are going to have the super pendant that will have 50 alt endings to the game .... these are what troll plots they are ment to have us try to find out what they are for but never tell us From might take the first born sun's (see what i did there sun not son ....nvm) trun face to the grave.

50 Alt endings? That'd be kool. A different soul or reward at the end of each?

Black Lightning? Really? I'd be neat sure, but it wouldn't sit well in lore. We know what the Abyss does and what happens when you abuse it/let it control you. You get corrupted, you will look like someone coughed The Black Plague on you, you lose all major brain functions and become like this rabid being like what happened to Arotrias. In Demon's Souls, it worked because Allant was controlled by a God and not some infinite empty elderich abomination. When the Archdemons were destroyed, Allant lost his purpose to the Old One and became this weird deformed thing at the expense of abusing power and losing your 'humanity'. If being in the Abyss gave you Darkside powers with no ill consequence, the lore and hidden message in Dark/Demon's Souls wouldn't make sense.
