monster hunter x dark souls builds

it has been noted several times that there are combat similarities between the monster hunter series and dark souls, so i decided to try and mimic the weapon classes of monster hunter in dark souls, my first one; the gunlancer

pierce shield+ Silver knight straightsword

Black knight greatsword(most similar moveset to the mosnter hunter gs)

Black knight halberd(I'd say the halberds moveset is closer to the longswords moveset than actual katanas)

Demon greathammer(It looks the closest to a monster hunter weapon)

Heavy crossbow for bowgun

I only played the first monster hunter seriously, and my weapon of choice was the Trident, quite similar to the Demon's Spear (spear weapon lightning damage or Paralysis)

But for the life of me nothing I can think of in DaS looks like MH armor I remember

yeah, most mh armor is some form of battle-kini, the closest sets i can think of are the uragaan (gen 3 monster) which is heavy golden metal armor, a mix of smoughs and other gold armors...and... well thats about it...
also lunar a large number of the "longsword" weapons in mh are designed to look like halberd so great call on that!

Gravelord sword looks somewhat like the bone longsword in a considerably more morbid fashion. DGH could kind of pass for a hunting hammer. Any of the Dragon Weapons are a shoe in for consideration.
