No but she was really in to the hunt for the pendant secret thread back on the old forums. That's what got me to register in the first place.

Suddenly the voices of thousands of Jedi suddenly cry out, then are silenced.
I think it's pretty cool that you are gaming at that age, it's pretty rare to see.

Re: any one over
Thanks Tolvo. I predict there will be more of me in the future if there are more games like Dark Souls to play.
P.S. I'm also female.

Well probably the common age cap will raise and raise with gaming, as more generations of gamers grow older. I know when I'm older I will still be gaming, especially if there are more games like the Souls series haha.

Re: any one over
I think it says something for our community that what could have turned into a pretty nasty thread here has turned out to be a pretty mature discussion in the end.
I do think the OP could have phrased things a lot better when starting the thread however, it comes across as declaring anyone below the age of 24 an idiot, and this is by no means the case. Nor is that the view of anyone with even a smidge of common sense who is a part of this community. Please be mindful about this sort of thing in future.

Re: any one over
Maybe it should be locked down in its current state? Because while it is currently going smooth it does sort of invite a person to read the first post, respond to that and that alone, and start some flaming.

Re: any one over
I decided on balance to keep it open out of respect for all the people who have resisted that temptation, but to keep an eye on it and lock it the second anyone oversteps the mark. I don't like just locking things on the spot when I can avoid it, that sort of things leads to heavy handed moderation.

Re: any one over
Maybe ask him to make an addition or change to the first post?
But I'm getting a bit off topic, I was a bit curious has anyone tried getting any older family members to enjoy games, especially Dark Souls? I imagine that older sibblings would be easier, but I was wondering if anyone has tried this?
Back in the day I managed to get my father into Pilot Wings, but I don't think I could ever get him into anything like Dark Souls haha.
Anyone ever do this with an older family member?

Re: any one over
i tried getting my wife into gaming since she was such a gamer when she was a kid but she thinks it's a waste of time, in the recent years i also wasnt playing a lot of games, this generation hasnt had pure gameplay games(which i think its the most important thing in a game) like demon's and dark souls, most kids care about graphics these days, its nice that FROM really cares about actually having fun and focuses on the gameplay than anything else.

I remember how cool I thought it was when I was a little kid and I'd come home and find my mom playing Ms. Pac Man on our state-of-the-art Atari.

In a related note, I got my mom into Everquest back in the day. She still plays EQ2 to this day. Along other MMOs.

I'm in my 30s too. I actually play dark souls while also riding a stationary bike, so all those hours aren't a total loss. The really good PvPers do make me stop and stand up though, sort of a compliment

I'm also 30 but try to act more like my daughter these days (she's 2). SlakeMoth....my mother was a huge gamer. She would have been 63 this year. I don't think I would have been able to convince her to play either Soul's game (but woulda tried).

Re: any one over
Pargar, age has nothing to do with how well you post, and the fact the figure you pulled out of the air from nothing is the best example.
There are many who are younger than I who I have seen behave more maturely than others of a greater age.
