It is pretty slow, I made a SL 713 to test it out, does great damage but still falls short of the Darkmoon Blade. I didn't like it

I have 24 str, 40 dex, 45 faith, 33 int, and it hits for 350 damage for a two-handed swing. It really needs a buff.

Artorias - come on bro - you need to be putting that high-level toon to some good use - go ahead a join (re-join) the forest covenant - we could use the help. Trust me on this one - there are never enough hunters - the things going on in the forest (and other heavy invasion areas) is just small reflection of modern society - basically "any means necessary to win (ganking, banging, chain BSs, WoG storms,etc)".
Some high-level (and/or skilled) toons in the forest covenant is the only way us hunters can beat back the ganking hoard
!Alvina promises she'll cook-up some of her famous catnip flambé for ya
. Plus you will get to test-out any new strategies you have been pondering - the forest is an excellent proving grounds for new tactics (and weapon configurations). Also, sparring in forest will keep you in shape for high-level PVP matches - gotta keep the pounds off!!

EDIT: Actually I have fought 4 diferent people. The damage above was in a guy with dingy set

GSoA really shines once you get both INT and FAITH stats in the upper 30's lower 40's. The scaling for STR and DEX is not as good - so investing in those stats should be for other purposes.
@ - 28 STR / 45 DEX / 38 INT/ 37 FAI results in approximately 620 DMG (1H) & 648 DMG (2H) - so the damage output is very good .
I don't use the weapon much though - due to its slightly slow move set (but if you get a stun-lock on the first hit its a devastating weapon - your opponent is probably toast!!) and heavy stamina usage. I have fought a few hosts who really knew what they were doing with this weapon and I got my butt destroyed - so I respect the weapon when I see it.
