Ok so I found that Shiva has an item I require, but I have been ill, and still am, lately and caused this: So I joined the Guild and talked to Shiver without knowing of having to go to Blighttown...attacked cat lady...then freaked out more and ran off a cliff...and Shiva and Bodygaurd decided to jump off with me...so they died...can I still get my item from Shiva in Blighttown? or are just dead and have to wait till NG+? Just trying to find a answer to this.

I'm pretty sure they're gone mate. I hate to say it, but you'll have to wait until NG+, unless you can trade it from somebody. This forum is full of people who will be only too happy to help.

Oi. I only wanted a Claw anyway, don't mind the NG+ or even getting one from someone hehe

In this case, its in the hands of the helpful forumees. Else you screwed it. The proper order of buying (which is the only way to obtain) a claw is:

Join the Forest Hunters -> go to Blighttown -> talk to Shiva

One more step: You have to talk to Shiva after joining the covenant, but before going down to Blighttown or he won't be there.
