Archstones

In the Valley of Defilement (5-1), I used the camera to get a close look at the Archstone at the beginning of the stage, and when you see it up-close, you see that the Archstone seems to have eyes and a sort of elephant-like trunk between them. It looks really weird. I'm not sure if all of the Archstones look like this or not.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I know that not every little thing contains meaning in the Souls games, but has there ever been any discussion on what the designs of the Archstones represent, if anything?

If you look at them, they do represent something. For example, world 3 has, (I believe), a picture of the queen. World 1 has a picture of King Allant etc. They all represent each area
