Ideas for a fun build ?

Right so I have played this game a bunch of time using the generic dex, strength, faith, Int builds or mixes of two of the stats. I need a build that is new and fun but also makes the game hard again. The game feels like a routine as I am well versed in all the normal builds.

Any ideas ?

In reality, just use some underused weapon. You'll find that most weapons that people rarely use are actually extremely good and under-appreciated.

Build a boss, or NPC, or whatever, and imitate them as much as possible. It's fun for you and a pleasant surprise for the target

Even more shameless advertisement, though these are all geared towards PvP so they may not be optimized for the correct PvE experience you wish.

PvE, PvP or both?

Do you like artificial rules?

One of the most fun I've had playing this again was having the simple rule: SL max is 50, and you cannot have any weapons, armour or or shield in your inventory.  I find one thing that makes the game very easy is having the right gear for the right situation.  With this rule, if you unequip something you have to drop it.

I had a qualityish build as a hunter; shortbow, winged spear and shortsword with a leather shield.  All light weight.

 I'm making this fun build... Kathe (a Darkwraith) ( yes i know, Darkstalker Kaathe lol) is gonna be a Four Knights of Gwyn build.
Artorias Gough Ciaran Ornstein and even Smough is possible with 2Hand.

Fun?  

If they are RP builds i would suggest not using the Ring of Favor and Protection on every single one of them. Also im pretty sure that Ciaran has her blades the other way around.

 It's not gonna be a 100% RP build, so i will use that 20 level Ring.

Roleplay. Recently I did a run with a "gravelord" character. Full gold hemmed, fog ring always on, using gravelord greatsword. Needed havels for weight which meant no favor and protection and no poise, which can be somewhat difficult with a slow weapon.

That's just one example of course, pick a roleplay idea and then live within the bounds of it. Another thing I did with that character was never break roleplay (no gear swapping to make a section easier). Was the first time I actually dodged 4 kings instead of tanking them.

In my case covering 4 knights isn't really a 100% RP build anyway, right?
