The Door in the Centipede demon's bossroom

This door is f****** taunting me, everytime i walk past that door it's just standing there... just there... does nothing....nothing, which drives me crazy. I believe that every thing in Dark Souls has some purpose, and a door that won't open is just...just... baloney.

So i've inspected the surroundings alittle to find out some way to explain why the door is there, and why we can't open it. The door i'm refering to is the big closed door in the bossroom of the Centipede demon you fight, in Lost Izalith. Now, the arktecture of that area of Lost Izalith, is very similar to the arktecture of the place where the lordvessel is placed, in Firelink Shrine. This makes me speculate that Lost Izalith and the lordvessels location beneath Firelink Shrine is connected somehow, especially the door behind those braziers, looking like lordvessels.

I have next to nothing to go on, and i'm wondering if you guys could give some indepth speculations or something, as im going mad back here. The door just sits there, doing NOTHING! ARRGHHH!

I tried to make the Centipede to break it, but nothing happened. It basicly the same thing about that locked door after Iron Golem

I've managed to spot something very odd, is saw a message high at the right corner of the door beneath Firelink Shrine, over the braziers.

They say those are message that are above on Firelink Shrine. I dont remember the place but I think is close to the bonfire.

There are a lot of buggy walls you can climb up and jump onto down there, I've found many messages like that and even jumped for some. One got me stuck on a wall sliding at like a hundred miles an hour for a minute before flinging me across a grey world killing me.

A way to confirm this would be to place your own messages in Firelink Shrine and look for them from the Altar. Place two at some known orientation to one another so that you know that what you are seeing are yours. In the case of ones that you don't recognize, try to find each message in the shrine, and place one of yours next to it to mark it.
