So....uh.....I think I'm back

I'm not sure if many of you will remember me - I'm sad to see that I don't recognize most of the people posting here now. But that's not always a bad thing!

Anyway, I'm probably coming back to Dark Souls since I can finally play again. I'm wondering if there has been any shift in the PvP-meta in the past couple of months. It sucks that I'm going to be completely out of practice, but I'd like to know if I should be on the lookout for any new tricks.

By the way, I missed this forum.

EDIT: Sadly, I can't answer your question about the pvp stuff, I haven't been able to get into it for a while since my ps3 broke.

New pvp tricks? Not that i'm aware of, I still use the old school tricks and it's pretty effective even today! If you need any refreshing on how to PvP PM me or my friend, Billy_Bayonet, he loves taking students, makes him feel more powerful!

Welcome back sir, let me get you up to speed on the current situation.

First off, parry spamming has infested most, if not all, of pvp. Some fool must have uploaded a video for the newer folk and made it look incredibly easy to parry. Now these guys are ridiculous and will spam until they parry you; however, they make themselves painfully obvious. Once identified a mere backstab should scare these hooligans.

As school is out, a lot of these 12 year olds have decided to hack their way into our realm. Be on the look out, the Undead Burg may as well have fallen on some days. Be careful out there. They sometimes disguise it in a, almost, clever manner. For instance, They may give themselves 99 faith and cast DMB on their falchion but leave their vitality and endurance at a normal level. Use your instincts on these guys.

This is merely an initial report. If anything else comes up I'll let you know.

new things for pvp? reverse roll, a trick that makes you roll behind an opponent and stand up facing their back, and a weapon moveset swapping glitch that isn't too popular but is getting youtube attention.

Hackers on the PSN; lot's of extremely low health characters; I think the forest has a single phantom and two invader limit; and the arena (at least on the PSN) is empty.

As far as the parry spammers, modders/hackers, and reverse rolling goes:
I hopped on Dark Souls for the first time in 99 days last night, and things felt a bit shaky at first. My movements were more rigid, but I didn't forget how to play.

The kick still goes a long way against parry spammers, I just kill myself if I run into a modder that can't be bled out, and I can still reverse roll with ease (yay!).

Though I did notice that most of the PvP areas were empty when I tried last night, has anyone noticed that things have slowed down?

Outside the usuals its quiet(ollacille town, burg, dukes, anor londo). Even the moonpit can be quiet at times.

The saddest thing is there seems to be hackers on PS3 now, but not many as far as I can tell. Everything has been a bit slower, as to be expected, but the burg is still alive and well, the moonpit when i was there earlier was bustling and the township is a good laugh. The forest has seen better (or worse, arguably) days to be honest.
