The Fivefinger Delta.

You probably don't even know what this is, I don't know what it is.

But it's a default face in Dark Souls, and it confuses me.

"Delta Farmer"

"Commonly seen face in the Fivefinger Delta"

That's all we know about it, I haven't seen a single item or dialogue that gives insight to this mystical land.

So uh

Anyone find anything about this?

They are farmers.

Maybe some place beyond the Great Swamp?

Looked like a face to me.

It's highly likely that the delta has five distinct sections carved out by, what I would assume, 4 primary waterways. It's possible the fingers are the waterways though which would mean 5 waterways. These waterways are also likely depositing nutrient rich soil to make a, um.....delta. Which likely opens into a large body of water. They probably farm there due to deltas having rich soil. I imagine they need to be conscious of flooding risks. They might have a good source of fish to go with the crops they farm.


Making a less serious suggestion, in New York we have what are called the Finger Lakes. I suspect From knows this since there's a lot of farming in the area and the Five Finger Delta is actually part of Western, NY. Because of an excellent ability to grow grapes and hops, the Delta Farmers have a well established tradition of wine and beer making.

Back to being "serious"

Dark Souls 2 takes place near water. Dark Souls 2 is in the Five Finger Delta region

Oh yeah. It's possible that a Delta Farmer made his way into the Catacombs where he died before reaching the Blacksmith.

Do they get a damage bonus on Plow?

The Plow is from the Oolacile Skarekrow Gardeners. We have an origin on that so I'd venture to guess "no." However, my last post hinted at something similar to your idea.....

I have a pair of those. They're blue and gray with a hint of yellow though. Extremely comfortable.

Here's a tip I wish I thought of before getting my pair. Go to a place that sells them, get a fit and size since they're specialty. Then go look for a deal online. I could have spent waaaaaay less. next time
