Excuses ... Excuses

I never get hate mail.  But I do get excuses.  I got my two favorite last night.

Excuse #1:  I'm sorry, I accidently healed.  I didn't mean to.

Seriously....    heal or don't heal.  I don't care. It's all part of the game.  That's why I carry loyds and backstab punish.

Excuse #2:  It's a new build and I haven't finished it yet.

The guy gave me 9000 souls, meaning he needed 90,000 to break his next level, while I need 4,200.  The electric chip damage through my shield indicated he was well armed.  I'm not sure what else his build needed to kill me... except maybe for some skill.  Don't you get that added on around level 400 or so??? 

I get 9000 souls from hosts around lvl 120-125... yeah 9040 for lvl 120 and 9989 or something for lvl 125, for a lvl 400 host you get around 50000+ souls

edit: I don't mean to put a damper on your post, after all being level 20-30 vs a lvl 120+ is bad enough as is.

If I accidentaly heal (yes, it can happen), I will use I'm Sorry, or  . In case I can't do either (huge inventory and love for Gravelords), I will back away and show my back to the opponent, so that he can either backstab me, or heal himself.

I actually have backstabbed people by accident.  I would have happily done it on purpose of course, but in that case I was just trying to hit them and considered the BS a pleasant surprise.

I usually don't send excuses but just little things to kind of joke about it.

"Oops, meant to roll, hit triangle.  Turns out two handing doesn't give you I-frames."

Or my favorite, "Should have rolled."

My favorite message sent after I die is "That first step was a lot longer then I expected."

I was using a f%^&% spiked shield in two hands.

I have never had that excuse used on me and I do use an OP weapon... chaos uchi.  A spiked shield... OP...  that is a sad excuse.

I met a guy as a phantom with my sl 12. I helped him beat the Taurus demon. He had another phantom who had end-game gear (like me). The host didn't do anything because we were too fast.

 I met the same guy again while I was invading in the Parish with my sl 12.
I'm cosplaying as a regular Medieval knight and always send a quick message upon invading saying 'Prepareth thyself.'

He sends me back asking for a fair duel. I'm already using unupgraded gear, so I ask 'what weapons/armor do you use. Is it upgraded (if so, how much)?
The guy replies 'I'm level 14. lol, armor like 0. Weapon is not upgraded'.

So we get ready, bow, he buffs with resin. I do the same. 2 hits and I'm dead. Something is not right. I message him 'I thought your weapon was not upgraded?'
He replies 'No, I meant my other one'

I seriously left a red mark on my forehead because of the facepalm.
