Need some tips/help with char [PC]

Hello fellow undeads, I've ran into a problem - I feel like my char is doing low damage with weapons (other than miracles) and been wondering if I've done something wrong building him. I'm running a primarily melee build with some investment into faith for some miracles.

To start off, I have literally no idea which weapons that scale off strength or faith (or a combination of both) so I'm pretty much alternating between Quelaag's Furysword +3 or +4 can't remember, Astora's Straight Sword +4 and Lightning Spear but neither of these are giving me the damage I'm lacking. Is there any alternative weapons that may increase my power?

First of all, sorry for doubleposting - I forgot to add some important things if I'm going to be able to even recieve any tips :p

I'm open for anything that may save my character and make him stronger.

Character stats / equips:

Quelaag's Furysword scales with Humanity; the more Humanity in your counter, the more damage it does.

Astora's Straight Sword scales with Faith, but on human enemies, like Hollows and other creatures who aren't skeletons, you'll do less damage.

Try to look for a C or higher scaling rating with Dexterity or Strength.

Hi Mikaii, thanks for the input! I was thinking of trying a claymore or zweihander ascended into divine / occult (depending on which scales better in the long run) or dragonslayer spear. What I don't know is if either of these would be a good option for me.

The Claymore is faster, but does less damage.

The Zweihander is more powerful, but is slower.

Occult is only useful against human NPCs, like Silver Knights and whatnot; it doesn't work on hosts.

The Dragonslayer Spear could work; it's fast, lengthy, and has lightning damage. It's up to you if you want to use it.

I'm open for trying anything, I just need to get my hands on Ornstein's soul and a claymore and see what's better

Claymore is easy enough; just get it from the bridge where the Hellkite Drake is.

The soul is debatable; the last three playthroughs I've gotten it, yet had no use for it.

If you want a pretty low stat weapon but does some pretty good damage, the reinforced club from the undead merchant in the perish is pretty good, its fairly slow but its good at getting through shields and stun locking, plus its heavy attack is leap.

The claymore is a problem, since I can't find it in my inventory nor at the bridge (I picked it up during my first visit there) Ascending it to max Divine would give it 175/212 damage with a D/D/-/B scaling, where as max Occult would give it 184/192 with a D/D/-/A scaling.
I don't really know how much the difference is between these but from just plain numbers, occult seems better to use on it.

The soul is something I'd probably want, but unsure since it does have rather low base damage (95-142 with a scaling of C/B/-/B)

The club may be an alternative, other than the fact that I dislike the slow swings of clubs overall - they feel like so to say, clunky.

Edit: I created the cursed sword of artorias today, and had the thought if it could be worth for me to get the stats required to use it.
