Comment on the avatar above you

Alright, so the 'Rate your avatar' thread has been closed since it was stated we were supposed to rate out of 10.

The principle on this thread it the same, but your reactions can be whatever you want. Rate with a number, give a response with words, combine them, I don't care. Just make sure it's a reaction to someone's avatar, or the response to one's avatar (= meaning you give a reaction towards another person's comment. Just so we're clear on that).

Btw, you should say in your OP, but blah/10 is not acceptable. If you wanna comment, comment. If you wanna rate with number, do a number.

Dunno if you understood what I consented to, but it comes with no BS ratings of word/10, since it's meaningless and spam.

Take a chill pill, man. I think that if someone calls something Awesome/10. It makes it pretty clear that they think the thing they were referring to, is awesome.

People were saying, (and these are some direct examples from pages 51 and 52 of rate avatar thread):

"arty and sif/10", "is she masturbating?/10", "Stop stealing colours/10"

You honestly think those are rating? They're just meaningless phrases. Honestly the fact you guys cannot recognise the distinction between spam and actual commenting/rating disappoints me

Most of Off-Topic is now just spam threads.

You have a point there. It's not an exact rating out of 10 that was requested. But now this is a different thread. We're not asking for a rating out of 10, we're asking for a comment at the avatar of another person. The '/10' behind it might seems pointless to you, but it's not hurting anyone. It's something silly and you should really take it as a joke. It's still relative to this thread, topic and request I now made. Please Serious, this seems so out of hand for no reason. They just add 3 symbols to their response, that's all. Nothing more, nothing less.

"arty and sif" Artorias and sif wer both in the avatar, no.
"Is she masturbating?" The character in the picture had her hand positioned in a manner wich could be percieved as masturbation.
"Stop stealing colours" Was spam tho. But propably not meant to be such.

My point being. All the Non-numer/10 responses had something to do with the avatars to witch they were responses.

I'm pretty sure we're not going to agree on this no matter what, so i'll just shut up.

I'm saying I like critique, I don't like simply stating "Colours/10" since thats not a rating, thats just a statement.

The fact is without the actual rating and critique, the whole thing becomes pointless spam, which is against the rules of the forum. I'm being hard here because there's too much spam here, and honestly it's pretty unacceptable, as off topic as a section has traditionally housed some thoughtful, interesting and pretty intellectual threads.

It's not harming anyone, but having spam everywhere on this forum reduces the standards we like to set. We like to think this forum is above others in how friendly, informative and good tone that is set. Spam obviously detracts from that ideal

By all means carry on. But if this thread doesn't do anything more than spam I'm gonna shut it down.

It's alright to like critique, but this thread is just asking for a comment towards one's avatar. A well-built critique is welcome, but just a rating or regular comment is fine too. Again, it is not pointless spam as it is a direct response to the avatar, and again you should take it as a silly joke. That doesn't mean their opinion has completely vanished, they just added a little joke it it. 
And I know there are thoughtful, interesting and intellectual threads, but this is the Off-topic, not Intellectual-topic. People ask for what manga to read in other threads. People might just give the names of manga and not much else ("Because it's cool"). That doesn't mean you should lock it. As long as people give a response like intended, I don't see a problem with it. Take is lightly, we're derailing already because we argue in this very topic. Not all threads are meant to make your brains go in overdrive, some are for fun and relaxing. This is one of them. Now, please, if you have more arguements, send me a private message. I don't want this thread to derail any further or I'll have to make a new one.

Serious has made it clear. If it's meaningful it'll fly. If not....

Instead of all this energy into loopholes and arguments let's focus on upping our collective "game." This is your chance to show intelligence and cleverness. 5 second responses with little reason haven't accomplished showing this side so let's do it right.

I have no idea. That's only a cat similar to mine (football cat). All I know is I still laugh when I see it.

Regarding yours I've always liked pointilism. To have rainbow and a little creepy is killer. I know you like bass but this is your best avatar so far

And thanks skarekrow. I changed the background because people requested it. Then someone mentioned I should use a different color. Then I just started 'stealing' colors from the avatars who commented on mine. I'm going to do it properly later. It's not what I want it to be right now

Thanks, funny thing is i made that in ms paint a year or so ago, shrunk it down to size using photofiltre.
Why are the maggots out? as far as i know they only come out when you kill the egg carriers.
