Demon's Souls lore videos

While recently searching YouTube for any Demon's Souls lore videos that I hadn't seen before, I found an ongoing DES lore series by a user named SmoughTown - you can find the videos here:

The videos are good, the guy has obviously put a lot of time and effort into his exploration of the lore. I thought his Soul Society video was particularly interesting.

I'm not affiliated with the creator in any way, I just thought I'd share this with anyone else on here who might be interested. I know that personally I find DES lore just as fascinating as that of Dark Souls, if not more so.

Demon's Souls lore is often overlooked in favour of Dark Souls lore, and although it's understandable given the more widespread availability and popularity of DKS, it's still a shame.

Even more of a shame since the lore, world and story in DeS are far more interesting than in DkS. Oh well ...

I know what you mean. It's a tough call for me, but if I really had to choose, I would probably choose Demon's Souls over Dark Souls.

Partly because I played DES first, so it had that impact of being my first Souls game and it totally blew me away, but as you mentioned, it's mostly due to the lore, story, atmosphere, locations, etc. It's an absolutely amazing game, and as much as I love Dark Souls, Demon's Souls certainly doesn't deserve to be overlooked in favour of it. Although again, the reasons why this is the case are obvious and understandable.
