Hi!
I posted over in the Co-Op services sticky, but I thought I ought to make my own thread for higher visibility. (I hope that's not a no-no). It seems like PC players are slightly harder to find....
SL 39, GFWL ellehbella
I'm having a bear of a time with Ornstein and Smough. Would a veteran care to help a gal out? I can do fairly decent damage to the both of them, but I'm just not skilled enough to keep track of the two of them at the same time. It would be immeasurably helpful to have a phantom draw some attention away from my squishy pyro. But sadly, I have seen no signs for days. My only help is Solaire... who is... um... far more interested in killing giants than O and S.
Short of Co-Op, is there any advice that can be offered? I'm wondering about a few things....
If hunting for a summon, is it more productive to start at the first bonfire and use the short-cut? Or is it better to start from the second bonfire within the cathedral? (I've been avoiding the second fire as I know PvP is highly active in this area, and I want to avoid wading through silver knights)
Is a summon from the base of the steps in front of the elevator able to traverse the entire level? For some reason I thought they could not....
For a very lightly armored pyromancer (with claymore, glove, and catalyst for Great Magic Weapon spell), would you recommend taking out Smough or Ornstein first? I have managed to face both in their "Super" forms, but I'm curious if there are any special strategies for characters who are light on their feet. My brilliant plan consists of "Don't Let Them Hit You."
I'm getting terribly frustrated with myself. :C This is what railroaded me from my first playthrough attempt, and I'm bound and determined to get through it this time.
