eh, it doesn't matter. An occult gets better by a good amoutn of faith, and it usually stops growing in terms of damage VIA 50. However, even if the occult weapon has an A scaling compared to an A scaling of a strength only weapon (A Faith on a weapon, A Strength on another), it seems that the Faith increases by a good chunk (3) more than the strength (1, usually) in terms of damage. So putting a good amount of faith in your weapon would do more damage... magic wise.
And as many enemies are more resistant to magic than others, you should try to make it about 40/40. Higher if you can for both, but the balance helps. As faith only increases the magic proportion, it can be said that you also want the physical at times.

Also, sorry for the second post, that Occult weapons do bonus damage to certain enemies. Enemies such as the Silver Knights and those who you invade are said to take such bonus damage. Keep that as a reminder that sometimes it is good to have both a divine and occult weapon in case of different circumstances.

If you have 40 dex, the standard path might do a lot better at high SLs. Going thru 2 types of defense sort of makes elemental paths less useful, apart from lgihting/chaos where no stat scaling matters, alowing you to dump stats on vit.

Dudes i know the occult claymore has a A scaling with faith but i dont have in mind another weapon (occult) with A faith scale can you tell me some plz¿

Occult black bow of Pharis has an S in Faith and I think that a spear or a halberd has an A, I don't remember wich one.

Well I guess I am just going to meet minimum requirements for the shotel and washing pole and then pump faith to 50 and the rest goes to vitality and endurance. Should give me 50 vit and 40 end.

What is better fir my next +5 occult weapon zeihwander or washing pole¿
I like both but i think the zeihwander is so slow for me but that thing hits like a truck i dont know if washing pole hits so hard

The zweihander will hit close to 480 damage(half of that being magic damage) and scale D in STR, E in DEX, and C in FAITH. While the washing pole hits around 430 but it has a B in FAITH, so the scaling is btter faith wise. However, it is more of a matter of personal preference, some like strength based weapons and others like dexterity. I for one like dex better for its speed.
