Hospital Tolvo
So I survived the surgery and am using my new iPhone to post this. Seems like the wound has been closed up but I need to stay at the hospital for a few days. So drugged up and loop laying on my side to keep my back okay. Can't use chat but can post. So tired.

Nice to see that the Grim Reaper didn't have enough rep to battle you
I'll post some videos for you to look at.

Re: Hospital Tolvo
That sounds encouraging. Sounds like you're feeling relatively comfortable post-op. Usually you are complaining about searing pain.

Seems like somebody doesn't like me, or hospitals, or me healing... Or it was a harmless miss click. Let's all jump to wild conclusions!

Re: Hospital Tolvo
If I had to guess, it's probably the hospital thing. A few people consider hospitals to be pure evil and "unholy."

I'll admit it was me.Tolvo wrote:Seems like somebody doesn't like me, or hospitals, or me healing... Or it was a harmless miss click. Let's all jump to wild conclusions!
But I had a good reason for it. I wanted to see how other people reacted.
Great reaction btw.
And for the record, I don't like the idea of anybody healing. (while.. I do like that, but in order to heal, it means one must have been damaged prior to it)

Re: Hospital Tolvo
I guess since it's Off-Topic and rep is going to get nuked anyway it's alright, but that's kind of a weird thing to do still.

Not that it would matter at all, so why not?

Go right ahead, you already spent at least one vote that I know of today so you'd only be able to create very little "havoc" anyway with the hours that remain.

Hope those analgesics are working some major miracle on you! Back surgery is nothing to be taken for granted.
Glad you're okay tol, hope the recovery and the results of the procedure are positive once your future prognosis is formed.

Guys try not to get too bothered by Soul, let's just forget about that.
Anyway thanks a deal for the well wishes guys, I feel so much less stressed after the surgery.

1. Knock off the snark when talking to a mod who gives his all each day and treats everyone with respect.
2. Go on a rep neg streak and see how long you last. These forums will stay as read only for posterity, don't start defacing the hard work of all these people.

Re: Hospital Tolvo
Having been through major life saving surgery a few years back, I can empathize with the pressure lifting off your shoulders with it now done with. I had years of paralyzing pain with ulcerative colitis, losing so much blood that I went anemic with my blood count going as low as 6.1 (normal average 14 to 18). I was taking more medication than most people in their 80's and later developed toxic megacolon so I had a sub total colectomy as I had only days to live. After the surgery I was in a lot of pain with my rectum having spasms every few minutes making the pain worse, plus it didn't help not having the epidural located right. After a day things got worse, my stomach went into shock and for 10 days every few hours I was throwing up bile which is extremely painful to do when you've been cut open from the chest to your waistline. When that settled I had my staples removed and due to the amount of steroids I was taking which lower your healing rate and the amount of throwing up I had done, my scar split open leaving a massive gash which had to be granulated over a period of three months. I was in hospital in total six and a half weeks, I was very ill but got through it in the end.
Anyway I wish you a quick recovery, which it should be because you're young and wish the best for no complications.

Re: Hospital Tolvo
Yikes, always the concept of perspective. While my problems have been really bad at least I haven't had to experience that, I hope you are healthy now and stay that way Steve. And thanks for sharing the story , it is always nice to know people have gone through similar struggles and come out on top. Ha, that's actually a theme of Dark Souls come to think of it.

Re: Hospital Tolvo
I'm healthy now but more surgery is planed for the future. I'm having pouch surgery so I can finally get rid of my stoma then hopefully after all my internals are all done with, I'll get scar revisions to make them look neat.

Wow, that certainly is an experience steve. I'm glad it's looking up for you now, hopefully the rest of your surgeries will go without any complications or issues.
