by ARSP Wed Mar 21, 2012 10:15 amI am still working on my dex build I am at about SL 19 and I am using the Wanderer class I am equipped with the Uchigatana, Standard Wanderer Gear, and A heater shield with the ring of favor and protection. Any advice on leveling up? equipment or weapons? and does anyone know where I can find a shotel? I think it is supposed to be able to ignore shields

Shotel can be found in Sens Fortress.
Once you make your way to the first rolling boulder encounter, run up the path to the very top (guarded by a mage snakehead) and fall off to the right. you'll land on the shotel. just below you from there is the second encounter of Siegdmyer (sp?) as well.
You can also get it from defeating Laurtec in Anor Londo. After killing him, his gear spawns at the Chamber Princess Bonfire along the ledge to the left.

I think you have to join forest covenant and go to blighttown near waterwheel and buy it
from what's his name? I am so bad with names 500hours still forget....Shiva Of The East(thank you wiki).............. :o
He is too low level to go off to sens or anor, he can get it fast at blighttown.
It's 10000 souls btw.

For leveling up, depends on high you want to go. If you want to reach the 120 mark or above, you can go with scaling. Anything less, then make your katana lightning.
For the 120 level, and for a Dex character, don't invest more then 40 in the stat. Use the other points to pursue INT or FAITH to use a buff to get max damage output OR
Use the rest of the point for VIT, END, ATT (for pyromances).
Good Dex Scaling Weapons:
Uchi/Iaito
Great Scythe
Prascilla's Dagger
Bandit's Knife
Balder Side Sword
Lifehunt Sythe
Black Bow of Pharis
Ricard's Rapier
*** Good Point Yessurd ***

If you go int, velkas rapier can be pretty gnarly as well, its reach rivals the estoc.
and the shotel doesn't have the reach for the ignore shield thing to help alot or the time, get good at dead angleing and use a stronger or longer weapon.
Quellags fury sword is good as well, the damage is only moderate and it can't be buffed, but the moveset is amazing if you 2h it.
