I for one get bored waiting for a player to finish clearing their area so that we can fight. Also it makes joining convents that need pvp items to level as I might never even see enough fight let alone win them to get the items.

But PVP on level terms is fun, and there is a large number of people who would like the option to do it well rather then resorting to annoying other players.

I dunno where or how much PvP you do but I have absolutely no problem getting enough PvP action to level up in a covenant in my experience.
and if you cannot PvP then FROM do provide drops for covenant items if you really desire. Dark Wraith covenant items you can easily get from farming rats or Skelly babies for example and eye of death you can get a decent drop from in the Depths

The problem is that unless you set up rules beforehand (like in FC) 'level terms' could mean lots of things.
There's also quite a few places that have constant PvP: Kiln, Painted World, Forest, Anor Londo, Dark Anor Londo, and Dukes, then you have the organized Fight Club and other user created events... so the necessity of a PvP 'zone' is really small and kind of ruins the whole uniqueness of multiplayer (IMO of course).

Gravity based spell/miracle.
Damage scales with the total armor weight currently equiped.
Start up time would be similar to TWoP but alittle faster and you will not be mobile while casting. Might require lock-on or have a limited AoE range.
An eksample of one such spell/miracle.
If the opponent has a mobility enhancing equipment, F.eks DWGR. The effect of said equipment will lose it's ability for 5-10sec, depending on total equiped armor weight. Damage scales with how much the total equiped armor weight is, and knocked down; depending on poise.
Opponents with low-weight armor, will recieve minimal damage, and might be knocked down; depending on poise. Mobility enhancing equipment will also lose effect for 5sec.
The spell/miracle, would be mostly effective against humanoid enemies, and winged enemies.

But Serious, think of its applications against turtling tanks, if they are are wearing say havels and can't move well, and you threw a gravity ball at them, it would do a lot of damage, which would force your opponent to change tactics.

screw the dwgr. I wont sacrifice efficiency, so most of my characters use it, but twop is a crapy balance to the ridiculous opness of the dwgr. it needs to not come back. that alone would fix a lot of the complains about dks pvp, backstabs in particular.

ohh some more ingame info about enemies, maybe a scan spell or a page unlocked in a monster manual after x number killed that gives a little character about them and includes their stats. And also more ingame info about things like convents, since that sort of thing requires many many hours of grinding to level up in, and you rather want to know what your doing before starting it.

- Separate configurations for camera sensitivity and bow/aim sensitivity.
- Option to make your character left handed during character creation.
- Backstabs = Same damage as normal attack, unless weapon has a critical multiplier. Combo/multi tiered backstabs escapable after first part (by mashing R1/L1?).
- Poise only dependent on equipped weight (armor only?).
- Elemental weapons scales with soul level (max at 99, diminishing returns hits at 50), same goes for Pyromancy.
- Crystal (equivalent) weapon upgrade: diminishing returns hits at str/dex 50-60 (about 10% more damage than a +15 at 40 str/dex), 1/10th durability, can be repaired, can not be buffed.

i think it would be kinda cool if they brought back the Gravelord sort of covenant, but instead of just infecting another world, you would also invade AS an enemy black phantom, using their unique weapons/attacks/spells. you would also have their weaknesses/limitations, who wouldn't want to play as a titanite Demon?

Would be more fitting if you were invading in the style of a servant of death, or the minion of Nito (If Nito makes a return) as a skeleton'ish black phantom. The giant skeletons in ToG f.eks. And the only way to break the curse is to kill you with a divine weapon

Oh Something to change the game...
Changing layouts of enemies in stages, so that its not the same over and over.
Also more shortcuts unlocked from boss fights back to bonfires, Its not fun having to repeat the same area over and over while learning a new boss.

Also, dedicated servers for online features and events (messages, summon signs, invasions, vagrants/drift items, gravlord infections, synergy rings, bloodstains, ghosts, etc), pvp could still be done by p2p.
I feel like we got the short end of the stick concerning these features, compared to what the online experience could have been with dedicated control servers.
